Briefly explain the trade: She was buying essay editing. We agreed that I do one paragraph, then she pay me, then I do the rest.
How they scammed: Refused to pay after I sent her the one paragraph and told me to do the rest.

It's kind of an iffy situation, since it seems like you both had a different interpretation of the trade agreement. She considered one paragraph to be the whole block; you thought the page would be better organized into two paragraphs, and therefore did half that block.

I would suggest that she be required to give you half the payment, but payment also seems dependent on whether she was going to use what you wrote, and in this case, it's really not clear if she will or not.

Honestly not really sure what to do with this, so will leave it open for other opinions.

 

Beforehand, I agreed to edit one paragraph to show her how I write. However, I never predicted that her paragraph would be 1 and 1/2 pages long, which is like 20+ sentences. The definition of a paragraph is 6-8 sentences.

I wanted to get a partial payment of what I did do, which was fair. I had to know that she wasn't just going to run off with the edited essay, which was more likely because she joined this month and has 5 posts. Once she gave me payment for that edited part, I would have continued editing the rest. It would be absurd that I take payment for one paragraph, then run off: I have a fair amount of trust, I already started her essay (I wouldn't leave an essay half done), and by the Word document you can see I have the writing skills.

I think it was fair that I requested payment for that part that I did do. However, she became paranoid and forced me to do the rest of her abnormal paragraph for free. To me, it sounded like she didn't want to pay.

I guess I've let go of this. It wasn't that big of a trade, but I had the feeling that tarnation didn't want to pay. Whether you twc/ban/let her off, I'm fine with it. Thanks.

 

My judgement is this:

I've banned tarnation until both Revo and tarn both a work out a suitable/responsible price to pay for work and pays it back. Until then tarn will not be unbanned.
