Returning After 5 Year Hiatus

Wow has this game changed so much! I started a new account just to get a feel for it and I am completely blown away by the changes!

Do you guys have some tips and tricks for an oldie but newbie to the game?

Don't bother with rs3. Just play osrs instead.

To answer your question, if you are really adamant about playing RS3 i'd recommend joining a clan. Not a clan with 200+ members because those are absolute trash. Clans that are on the smaller/medium side usually want to grow so they are willing to dedicate more time towards their newer members. I stopped playing RS3 because of its' incredibly toxic and elitist attitude when you get towards high level PVM.

I recommend committing to osrs tbh. There is much more room to grow and it isn't plagued with MTX like RS3 is. There is a much more sense of achievement on os as well since it's not easyscape/dailyscape.

5 Years, man that's insane I couldn't imagine returning to RS3 after 5 years.

I would just play OSRS.

 

I was looking at trying out RS3 aswell it looked kinda fun for the video i watched. but its so different that i may just stick with OSRS

if somebody likes playing rs3 just lay down and accept it.
You can learn the game in no time, nothing is to complicated.
It's only complicated if you have expectations.
A tip would be to start fresh, start from scratch and do quests, quests give you more experience about to game and unlock most of the good benefits.

 

Just keep playing osrs. Don't look back. Rs3 isn't worth it.

 

Also, don't forget that a new skill is coming next year.

 

I don't play anymore but if you are starting from nothing (osrs) I would suggest grinding out med clues until you atleast get one ranger boot. That instant 30m will give you a great start, and it's free. All you have to do is kill some fally gaurds (best drop rate percentage) or other things. I would suggest using runewiki and youtube should you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Good luck on your grind.

I remember wanting to play RS again and then immediately stopped shortly after.

It comes and goes I guess. Glad that PKing is still alive in OSRS... RS3 however isn’t looking to hot...
