That's weird, I've actually found I have way more free time working full time now than I did with school + internships. Maybe only because I just started and it's fresh and new and not burnt out yet. Guess we will see. I'm really just here for @John to finally be inaugurated as POTSF (President of the Sythe Forums).

Then maybe I can metaphorically die as well.

 

How would you correlate the tranches with opportunity cost?

 

More to time than just work or school though dude. We're habitual creatures and sythe is only another habit. I've only cared about the community since I left staff and I no longer have time for the site with all my other shit I've got going on, what if I dis-intermediate the process and still keep in contact w those I want to without having to use this platform? Genius.

Considering I wrote part of one of my academic university assignments loosely on why DNT is appalling, I'd say the opportunity cost is off the charts for tranches, thanks.

 

I mean if it's better for your mental health and general health of course it's good to leave the website. But what isn't habit? We wake up, we do what we need to do, we cater to our habits, and then we die. You can ultimately find triviality in everything you do. Watching sports, video games, going out with friends, watching movies and tv shows. All trivial. All great simple pleasures in moderation though. Even the stuff society deems important or necessary you could call pointless. Most 9-5 jobs will leave no footprint on the world after one leaves it.

But if you don't enjoy anymore then of course it's for the best. I actually enjoy Sythe more without being in a position of power. It's when you're in a position of power that it feels more like a chore than a fun outlet. But the website definitely isn't as lively as it was, that cannot be denied.

Honestly Lime's passing has reminded me to enjoy the little things more. Enjoy the simplicity of life because if you dwell on the complexities you will be eaten alive.

I used to be the one that dwelt on only the complexities and the "big picture" of things. Kudos to people that can do that but it made me pretty miserable.
