SytheClient v1.06 (Runescape client) - Updated August 25th 2010

The client connects to a few webpages to download information at program start, but it's nothing to worry about. It connects to my personal site to see if there are any updates and also connects to FileBeam to grab your IP address for the anti-hack check in the "Information & News" window.

 

This looks really nice, I'm going to start using it

 

If you use mono then you could get the client working on Linux and Mac's. Although some features may not work, depends on how you coded it I guess. Anyway looks good, keep up the good work (Y)

 

i just installed it. im gonna start using it instead of swiftkit thanks.

 

This isnt and will not be coded for a mac correct?

 

Unfortunately it won't, no, I'm not too fond of Java nor would I want to create several OS-dependent versions in a language as cumbersome as C++

My account were stolen + recoveries filled up with "HoaxDev" shit after I used this. I would use this client with caution. My account happened to be above 2400 total too. Got it back though..

There is nothing malicious in the client at all, if you'd like to see portions of the source code let me know.

Looks amazing. Downloaded. Very, VERY laggy. I couldn't even get it to work. Oh well, probably just my computer or something... Hopefully 2.0 works!

 

Yea 2.0 cuts down on a lot of the bullshit that's in this version. It's almost ready, I only need to work out a few of the kinks, add a settings/themes/plugins page then we're ready to go

 

Is there ever going to be a MAC version of this client?

My new client, "Eternity" is completely independent (not made for a site) and will be released sometime after Christmas. Since this client will not be attached to anything but my own dedication, it will be updated frequently.

 

I used to use this client, switched to SwiftKit though. I always lagged while using this client, for some reason.
