SytheChat Chrome Extension

Hey everyone,

I recently made a suggestion that recommended we implement the SytheChat into a chat bar similar to Facebook.
Until that is addressed, Syed created a temporarily solution to make it easier and intuitive to use SytheChat, for Google Chrome users.


New Alternative to Extension
I've created a webpage (hosted by Syed) you can access here that will have the chat as an overlay you can toggle and move around.

What's Chrome?
It's a web browser you can download.

What's SytheChat Chrome Extension?
It's a button added to your Chrome browser that includes SytheChat as an easy to use overlay rather than a pop-up. You can open and close it at any time, on any website.

What's the purpose?
You can quickly hop on the chat to send someone a message, rather than having to keep the page open or opening the chat page up through the URL.

Ready to use it?
V1.0

Note: You have to go to chrome://settings and disable malware protections, and then drop the .crx file into chrome://extensions

Known Issue
It closes off if you click anywhere, and you have to reload it. We're working on making it stay open.
It's also cut off and pretty shitty.​

Nice utility, I'll be checking it out soon. I've been in the Sythechat, and it's looking pretty decent so far. Just need more folks in there regularly.

Yes please. Not sure why people are happy to use a data mining browser.

I've created a more convenient webpage here.

For obvious security reasons, I recommend you never directly log into Sythe on this website. Log in on Sythe, and then use it as you wish.
This is in case Syed's website is ever hacked.

I've been using this a bit lately. Would be nice to see something like this pop up automatically so the chat feature becomes more actively used.

Awesome idea personally in a bit of a google addon whore so having this is perfect . Looks really well done aswell so good job , will use it soon
