Just did an overhaul of the guide. It should now work with any Google Chrome browser on PC no matter the operating system.

Step C. no longer works, the extension has been removed it seems. I could not find another functioning QR code scanner anywhere, the other QR scanners in the Google store simply do not work.

Now the Google Chrome Authenticator extension in the first post has a built in QR scanner, so the steps need rewriting a little.
