There's been plenty of mods over the years that haven't deserved it.

 

Like I said, but most have been scammers/plain out morons and have been banned/demoted.

 

Getting picked as moderator isn't a reward for being active. The staff pick people who they think will do a good job, so why not pick someone they know have been doing a good job before?

 

Exactly, lol....

They may have left the staff team because of a break, then when they came back why not get the next spot open if both sides in question were happy about it.

 

The simple fact, it is to our benefit that prior Sythe moderators are invited/request to return. We have seen more than enough examples of what happens when the "wrong" person is selected. Lastly, I think many here wish to secure a position as a moderator for all the wrong reasons. Guys this responsibility requires much more effort/tact/time than most may consider. I gave up a my moderator slot as I clearly lacked the time to give the members what they deserve. Hats off to those the serve!

 

Get a grip, you whining noob. Venom was an amazing staff member and stepped down voluntarily because he was concerned that he couldn't sustain his activity. I'd prefer that staff members step down rather than attempt to be inactive staff members. There have been times when people haven't been reinstated for a number of reasons, but the Runescape section needed an additional Moderator and Venom had requested to come back. Only someone that loves to whine would have a problem with that.
