Sythe/Self Employed Resume Help

Hello everyone,

The time has come in my life where it is time for me to start applying to real jobs. I've graduated college (USA) and have two bachelors degrees in Economics and Psychology. For many many years I've used sythe and other related sites to make side money to live off of. I've only had one real job, which was a very low-skill slightly above minimum wage job that I worked at over the summer (which doesn't look great on a resume). I am hoping to spice up the description of buying and selling goods online over the past 5+ years to make my resume more appealing to employers.

Does anyone have personal experience doing this? What did you write and how did it go? If you have never done this but have experience in the business world, do you have any advice on what I should put, or career advice in general?

Any business is a business worthy to put on your resume. However, you have to note that when they see this on your resume, that is the first thing they will ask you about on your interview. You have to be fully prepared to answer any questions they may have.

It's definitely worth putting on there, though!

 

Aside from the one job, you have 2 degrees. That right there is a lot to have on a resume. Especially in today's world (USA).

Just play it out differently. You can say that you are a freelance sales expert/ consultant.
2 degrees is also an awesome benefit.
