Sythe Secret Santa?

And how many people here are happy to give their house address away to a complete stranger on the Internet? Hell there's 5 maybe 6 people on here that I would only trust with something like that. Not to mention postage/shipping costs.

It's a fun idea, but I just don't think it would work out.

 

Ideas:
1. Have people from US send to US and Europe send to Europe, etc.
2. Have some sort of requirement of legitimacy/presence on sythe so that we have people that will actually send the gifts and not just random people getting free stuff

 

Well I added in OP that there could be a certain requirement for legitimacy. I also like the idea of US shipping to US, Europe shipping to Europe.. that will lessen postage/shipping costs.

 

Perhaps virtual items only? Like RSGP, Xbox Live/PSN cards, Runescape cards, MoneyPak, Amazon gift card, etc.

 

I don't really support that because there's no creativity, it's basically just people sending eachother money...

 

Our userbase can't be compared to websites like Reddit. Besides a few enthusiastic members, I doubt many users would participate in this, I don't think it'll be successful.

 

If we did it with runescape items and say spend 1m on eachother? Give a link to your characters stats, buy eachother a gift we could use, eg. I have 46 fletch so someone could get me mats for leveling fletch to a certain level.

 

The community development team would be the most suiting group of members to make this suggestion a possibility.

 

Would probably be a huge headache for those trying to coordinate the whole thing. I like the concept, I'm just not so sure it'll be all that successful.

 

I like the idea, however it would be, for example, impossible to me to actually mail something to US or w/e.

I like the idea, but I'm sure a lot of us (including me) don't have the money to buy stuff for their close friends let alone random people on the internet.

 

I like the idea a lot. I just think that it will be difficult to coordinate and could lead to problems with people not holding up their part of the exchange and in giving out addresses. Participation may also be quite low

 

This wouldn't work, I'm pretty sure nobody would want a dildo arriving for you in the mail.

 

No support. Things would go wrong, in many ways.

 

That's nice idea, but I do don't support this (shipping costs and giving private info on forums is not good)

 

It would be fun, bud sadly it wouldn't work out. Maybe the com dev team will implement something like this sometime in the future.
