EoC and the Price of Runes

It's been known that EoC is going to have some bad effects on the game economy. What I mean is that the price of gold might fall in the next week.


What I am wondering is how the EoC update is going to effect the price of runes.

This week I have been looking at the prices of a few runes and I have seen significant drops. Death runes are down almost 100gp and cosmic runes are down about 20gp.

Is EoC going to have an effect on the rune market? Will the runes be worth more or less?



I don't want criticism on the idea about the market changing, I just want to know what people think will happen to the price of runes in the upcoming week or weeks.

 

Runes might be fluctuating due to the EoC itself (the update), or due to the mass-quittings that result in an increased supply as people try to cash out on their accounts and get some real life cash, which also drops demand. Time will tell whether the changes will be permanent.

 

I expect them to rise post update with the greater emphasis on combat? Just my thoughts, i'm no market analyst

 

It's pathetic how the rumors spread but nobody even has played the beta. Combat spells only use elemental runes now, so deaths are only used for stuff like vengeance. They'll definitely crash.

 

From i think the price will increase becoz the combat triangle is more balanced now so alot more people with be pking pvming

 

That's just so wrong.

Death runes have fallen to an all time low in the history of the game (164gp)

Cosmic runes continue to fluctuate between 100gp - 105gp - 110gp.

Air runes have risen to an all time high of 13gp (last 180 days).

 

That'd be horrible, especially for my Runecrafting Profit expectation.

 

You can look at the GE prices. Runes continue to fall.

 

Death runes will basically be worthless, blood runes will mainly be used for ancients. Combat runes are basically worthless because the spells that used to require their usage no longer do.

 

From what i've seen from the charts it seems so that Dave and the others are telling the truth, the price of runes are expected to fall

 

You only need elemental runes for standard spellbook attacks now. Deaths aren't in demand, veng will be cheap to cast, sorted.
