Would it be possible to also include a few quoted posts that are either funny, extremely true, etc.

Also, include warnings of active impostors, update us with suggestions that have been approved lately, updated that came out in the last quarter, etc. Basically, keeping us all up to date about the site.

 

Why not a mix of both?

For those who may want, either.

 

I looked over the newsletters, and they're so painfully small, my eyes hurt.

Should be Size: Way bigger...

I used to run the WEEKLY newsletter for my own gambling FC, and it was a solid size..probably more than these scraps. Not even mentioning I was the sole writer for it and the three week time difference...

Don't think the time period is the problem; I find the commitment is where the problem is at.

EDIT: I'll try to find them on old cache and give improvement ideas.

also the fact that no one really cares about random news updates when half the forum reddits like crazy and has already seen everything we post about.

hmmm, i like this. i'm a fan of miscellaneous data and think it's the kind of thing that would be good for a sythe newsletter. also yeaahhhhhhh, posts of the month! i'm so down for that

But some heavy, weighty and serious topics, along with some silly topics to help keep a good balance. I think that'd create a great quarterly newsletter that would draw in a bigger crowd as it caters to a broader audience. Maybe a comic strip too? Jokes. But for real, GFX artists... ?

 

i like the idea. there were some pretty funny gfx posts in years past that mostly sifted around the spam forum; maybe we can channel that for the quarterly post

 

I agree, mainly because I was one of the individuals who procrastinated when it came to these.

I'm glad they are being brought back, and I like the idea of quarterlys. You better do the comics s/o JackyG
