I think it would be appropriate, If we took the things we don't have in runescape, and implement them here, but keeping it far enough off base, that jagex doesnt think you've copied them. But yeah, great idea.

 

Jagex can't say anything since they took some of their older updates, ie the clan chat, off of WoW.

thats the same layout as runescape.

 

Pretty much based on RuneScape design.

 

Which is pretty sad when you think about it.

I still think first player would look way better.

I've always had this idea that would be really awesome for runescape...or any mmorpg really. One of a kind items(weapons or armour to be specific) They'd have special properties(statuc inflictions, bonus damage, maybe graphics?) and as the name implies, there'd be only ONE in the entire game. Certain swords or bows could be made into legends, actually building on the mythology of the game and having a much deeper game society.

 

But will your funding actually work?

 

Sythe , i've played a lot of games which sound like the ideas that have been recommended , if it was me , I'd be looking at a game KAL Online , this game is free , and absolutly awesome , it includes all the things you have mentioned , skill , stratergy , and what not , www.kalonline.com take a look it , i think that we should be developing around this game , anyhow , the whole concept of this is great

I quit runescape a while ago due to the $@#1 Jagex does and check this site about once a month... (old acc deleted) and i made a new account just to tell you how bad ass this is and i would pay membership

also the only reason i played runescape was that i didn't have to go on quests 24/7 or just slay monsters to be good.. instead I could just chill, cut wood, make money, and talk to friends

idea- set it in future(starcraft!?) Instead of range.. guns instead of melee.. energy swords(light saber things) instead of dragons... giant robots

Also no catching butterflies with nets.. instead shooting people in the head with gory explosions (over exaggerated gore is great)

Also for black market let it be player based .. games where the creators do the BM is dumb

One idea For the tutorial don't have some "gay" tutorial where you stand around... here is an idea
You first pick what you want your guy to look like then once you confirm your character you hear an evil laugh... all of a sudden you are in a battle where all the soldiers are yelling for you to retreat. As your running away from an army of really high level monsters that are as frightening as shiz you learn how to use the game.. someone will be running with you (computer) and telling you things like cut down this tree so we can pass (and if you messing around in the tut the monsters will pick you up and rip your head off and you would start where you just left off)

Later in the game when you are a high level you can go back to that battle and fight it FTW!

Instead of Runescape DOOOOOOOMScape (don't do that)

The first person idea would be awesome.. as soon as you enter the wild you go into first person
