This was pointed out in an earlier thread.

Anyways, this happens to lots of people who have rs gambling addictions, end up losing a few K irl.

 

They should have included the smart people who have made thousands of $ from the game...

 

I think RuneScape really does encourage some gambling tendencies, especially at a young age. Admittedly gambling for real life money with in-game bets is just daft but a lot of the game is based around risk and reward, a lot of the time outside the basis of skill and plays on chance.

I mean, some kid spends $20 on RS cash and then blows it gambling in the duel arena, how is that any different from real life gambling? I know this doesn't apply to all users but I can sort of see the connection there.
