The "Copy" button

So, yesterday I've noticed the "Copy" button, not sure if it's new or not, however when I tried to copy a message an error pop'ed up.
It might have been made for posts and not private messages, but I think it should be either fixed to work with both or just permanently removed from the private messages section.

 

Good find, I get the same thing too when I try to copy a private message.

 

what is the point of the copy button? if i wanted to copy someone's quote i can press quote and copy it. -.-

I may be fucking lazy here but didn't there used to a clipboard on the top of this where you could just press it and it would copy? I've used it before.

as johng said you could always press quote and copy it, but just for the sake of ease of access the copy button should probably be optimised to work with PMs

For both methods you do the same:

1. Press a button
2. Highlight the text
3. Copy the text

Probably doesn't work on PM's because PM's can only be viewed by the receiver and they're not an actual quote

i never asked for the feature, and will prob never use it tbh, but some may, i'm not sure which thread it was, it was just in the archives about 500 pages back.

 

I'm glad it was implemented, it's an awesome tool. I also had troubles using it a week ago. It was a locked spam forum thread, and I saw the button and was like OOOOOOO MY IDEA. And clicked it. and it was like nopelol and I was sad.

EDIT: and testing it now, it works exactly as I'd imagine it should. Good job sythe c:

 

Well i'm not bitching about it, like i said i could care less if it was put in, but if you want to improve the site, then do so more power to you, i'm just here lending a helping hand to fix some bugs in the system, which you are already working on.
