Sythe Account Hacked Whilst Inactive

Hi, I really hope you can help me with this.

I used to be active on Sythe under the name "Legal Alias" (Legal Alias) when I played RSPS like UltimateScape, Runique and Ikov. I then went inactive (the last post that I made was on July 26th 2016 - https://i.imgur.com/rycHYFa.png) after leaving education and having less time to play games and generally losing interest in RSPS. Luckily I made this account over a year ago for whatever reason and you can see from the audit that the IP I created this account on shared that of Legal Alias: IPAudit results for | Sell & Trade Game Items | RS Gold | CSGO | ELO | Rocket League.

In recent weeks I've been getting into OSRS and decided to check Sythe for gold prices this evening. I immediately noticed that my account had been banned, and upon looking further I found that a few months ago my account became active again without my knowledge little under a year prior to the last time I had made a post (https://i.imgur.com/J2Gamkx.png) and had gotten banned within a day or so. My profile picture and signature had also been changed from what it originally was.

I know I'm probably taking a stab in the dark here but I was wondering if there's anything that I can do to get my account back. I have no idea how this has happened, perhaps it has something to do with the Runique account database leak a long time ago which caused me trouble with hacking elsewhere, but I don't know. I understand that you need to take precautions to ensure I'm not the hacker and would be able to answer any security questions/give information about my email address/etc that I set when I initially created my account Legal Alias in 2014 before the hacker gained access to my account. This is doubly bad because the account was banned. I regret that my account was clearly unsecure enough to be taken advantage of which has in turn harmed other people on Sythe.

The email I registered the account "Legal Alias" on was "[removed]". I have access to this email and so I was able to request a password reset for the account - [removed]. I reset the password fine, but it is asking me for a "two-step verification code generated by the app on your phone." Which app is this referring to? I'm not sure when this was put into place and whether or not it was put into place by me (in 2016 or before) or by the hacker. If it was put into place by me, if someone could let me know which app it's talking about I could download it. Although I'm not sure if it would even let me log in if I provide this code if the account is still banned.

 

We will need to set a new email to your account. Also, can you post a virus scan?

Still can't respond to the former thread so I was told to make separate posts that will be rolled into it. Charlotte told me to give a new email address for my lost account "Legal Alias".

Your new email has been set and a password reset has been sent to that email. Once you change your password, post so I can unban you.
