This reminds me of a thread I made last summer about how there are literally no good candidates for mod, and that literally anyone could be mod. Case in point: bringing Sypherz out of retirement, and promoting some rich kid who has not been relevant for the last three years.

Should be mods in my opinion if they wanted it:

Xeiro - Has proven he can manage irc, websites and dicing clan finances successfully. Extremely trusted and a wealth of experience it would be a shame if sythe didnt recognize how good of a person and asset he would be to the community.

Loyal to da game- Just think he would make a excellent off topic mod. great attitude and intelligent

str8 dank- great personality and attitude, derik handles gp all day working for r2p. Would make a excellent runescape mod.

sportsjon- What a human being, oh and he's brilliant with servers and a bunch of other website and internet shit. His trust is beyond words.

promoting new mods shouldnt be a popularity contest or dick sucking fest. Look beyond your own motives and see that these guys would be great additions to a already pretty good staff.

edit: dont ever try and promote me cuz im useless when it comes to anything internet related straight up =P

xeiro: We havent been as tight in months actually. We had some issues and a few things were said so no im not suggesting him for mod because he's my friend. I was suggesting him for mod because of watching him handle business and ethics. He has a clear cut goal and conscious along with intelligence. He pretty much ran dragondyce on all fronts. His skill set and leadership could be put to good use on sythe is all im saying. Has nothing to do with friendship

loyal to da game: Would consider us friendly towards each other but thats it. We dont speak anywhere other then here and just quote one another and laugh at each other. Zero bias reasons for my suggestion of him being mod. I just think he'd be a good off topic mod thats all lol

sportsjon22: Just a extremely friendly and helpful person with amazing computer skills. He has trust and morals and can be counted on to make the right decisions. He managed servers and bots for ddyce and occasionally hosted extremely large wagers. Most people who know jon love him. hed be a fucking fantastic mod

str8 dank: He's been here long enough and completely involved in runescape. Hes trustworthy enough to work for r2pleasant and speaks english =) I see no reason why sythe wouldnt benefit from him patrolling the runescape markets. He knows what to look for via scam attempts etc.

I wouldnt just suggest people to be mods because i like them. I dont benefit from it or care. Its just my opinion on who i think could benefit the website as a whole. Take me for example id never suggest making me a mod. Id be horrible lol

Tbh it doesn't take a genius to moderate this place. Donald Duck could be a good mod. Achieving the status in 2015 is an insubstantial feat by all accounts. They stopped choosing candidates that actually fit the bill long ago. There are 23 staff members and 3 suspended ex staff members who at any time can be brought back to the team if someone were to get demoted. There is no reason for there to be that many staff members, and still have reserves. They're treating the status like a turn at the carnival. There isn't much room for growth within the current team because of it being bloated. I still don't understand why many aspire to become a piece in a puzzle that already was already completed long ago.

 

When do I get graphics mod? Ya know, since I was actually active in graphics for a the better part of 3 years.

Hattez, you keep going on about xiero's skill set and the like but what makes you think it would be useful in moderating a website where basically the only pre-requisite is you not being retarded? Being a mod isn't hard, just time consuming.
