Come play Day Z with moi

I understand i've made about 300 day Z threads today. but yeah, I love the idea of the game.

Started playing on my laptop, and I really suck. Looking for someone to mess around with to get a bit better and kill some newbs.

im not actually to familar with steam, as I don't use it other than to play 1-2 games.. How do I find my name and add ya?

It was quite pricy for an alpha version, but I've been totally enthrolled with it for 2 days straight. it's agonising and so good at the same time

How good of a computer do you need to play it? I saw it on Steam and it looked like a game I'd want to play.

However, my computer is subpar and Idk if I'd be able to run it.

 

Hey man, uh it is quite computer dependant or so I heard, which is why I had my doubts about being able to play it on my dell laptop but I'm actually able to play it on low-med fine. It's kinda choppy, but it is again an Alpha, unfinished version so bound to be.

What you can do is download Arma II free on steam, and play the tutorial, if that runs fine then DayZ stand-alone will run fine too.

Me and leanbean were playing last night, I'd quite like to get a little squad of players going here and we could wreck havoc, it's one of those games that is way more fun with friends.

Nah man, it can become a bit annoying when people constantly gun you down in major cities for no reason, but you can avoid Elektro, cherno and other 'PvP' cities, to which I've had some great player interactions. Even today I ran past a military geared guy on the road to the airbase and he gave me a bunch of stuff along with directions to get there after a 10 minute chat.

The most hilarious one was last night, while trying to find leanbean, a group of 5 handcuffed me and kept me captive for about 20 minutes. After an interrogation, I ended up squading up with them and bandit hunting for a while.

 

Arma 2 DayZ Mod > DayZ Standalone. Believe me, I know. I have over 350 hours easy on the mod, and around 60 or so hours on the standalone version.

H1Z1 will probably be a lot more fun when it's out in January.

The only tip I can give you on standalone is to shoot on sight, because 90% of the time the people you see in game are just going to kill you on sight or hold you up.
