Proper Spelling on the Internet

So browsing this forum and others, the biggest thing that annoys me is simple spelling and grammar mistakes. Is it too much to ask for people to check their spelling? I mean, a simple 5 minute download of Fire Fox can fix that problem...

Maybe I am just too neurotic? :embar:

Let me ask this question now:

If people, mainly kids, misspell on the internet how can we expect them to spell correctly outside it? I often find myself writing like I am texting someone and I'm sure other people have too.

 

Proper grammar is also helpful . It doesn't really matter to create a thread like this anyway. There are ALWAYS going to be people talking in "1337" and pure text language.

I agree with you. Like I missed a "o" in too above...that doesn't bother me as much as what you first wrote.

I misspelled one word? My grammar seems pretty good to me.

 

I'm guessing you spaced the "Fire Fox" because your computer corrected you right?

I'm gonna sound like a douche if i get this right and a mega douche if i get this wrong but aint it suppose to be Your? Not You're?

This is a Forum, I am not here to write a formal essay... As long as people can understand your posts I see no problem with spelling or grammatical errors...
You're reading too much into a problem that doesn't exist :/

 

True, but if people cannot take the time to review something small like this and look for the minor mistakes, won't that carry over into life?

For example:

You open your car door and scratch a car adjacent to yours, but you see no problem because the other car can still function.

 

The other car shouldn't have parked so close to you.
