Swap gp worth it?

I love how people with no experience whatsoever comes up with a comment like that

 

Yeah they do make money, but nothing as much as they use to make during dicing era. Id say invest in Bitcoin or make a botting farm

 

Bitcon in my opinion is risky, very risky + botting farm is really not an easy task at all

 

Obviously clans like Home make money, thats a given, its just about how much lol. How much did you stay online a day to make that money back?

It just seems like it would take a while since there are many ranks on there and there is a huge disadvantage if you don't live in GMT/Aus time cuz of the competition. Thats why I hesitated to join it. Also, the fact that you have to stay online on your RS account is less convenient to me then opening a thread on sythe and only having to leave Skype on

 

Just look around for cc's that are based on your time zone. The more you put into it and build your rep up, the more you will receive. It's definitely worth it in the long run from what I've heard from buddies. Can make upwards to 1k+ a week if you're trusted enough and have a reputable reputation.

 

Well no I meant like during the day in the US, there are more ranks in all of these fcs = less money for a recruit. Also, what are the other most popular ones? I haven't looked into it too much, but I know of Home obv

 

All these posts have actually enlightened me into thinking about buying the mils and doing it myself, as for the OP; go for it man it's $100 like you're saying even if it takes 1 month too make that back, it's then at that point free money for playing a game you enjoy.

 

Honestly I would say going and inveting in a swap fc in this time is just not a smart idea. If you really wanted to make some money the trend of staking for others is on the rise and I would recommend trying to get into that scene.

 

That's kind of self explanatory man. Lower ranks aren't going to get as much swaps. People are gonna go to the higher rank.

How not? Higher ranks paid more to get that rank. Therefore, more people will go to them since they see them as more trusted.

 

Sorry didn't say that specifically recruits. I meant all ranks in general. I assume alot of the ppl in the fc are advert bots, so theres always a good amount of ranks in general, making it hard to earn business. Besides most of these it seems are small trades.

I know swap CC's inside and out, and would probably say that any of my input is infinitely more valuable than your own. You're a pawn, maybe once you grasp the full scope of how a swap CC works you'll understand that.

In any case, from experience, I can tell you that running your own service on Sythe is the best avenue to go for swapping. You do not need to invest any money initially and don't have to pay weekly/monthly fees.

 

I agree with Farcast, When I had my swapping business, it was on sythe. Not in a clan and i made over 1B in profits easily. Also yes, Swapping CC's are not worth it in my opinion either because of the initial investment and the weekly fee (ex. 50M for Home. This was 8-9 months ago though, not sure about now)
Think about it, if you go on vacation or are inactive, you wont make much profit but you MUST pay the weekly fee to stay a rank, otherwise you lose your rank.

 

I was a silver rank in Home CC and GP Stall, even though I paid a few B, I was making over $100-300 a day off that clan by just selling to the hosts (since I was able to buy bulk 07 here) for a lower rate for example:

• Buy 100M 07 on sythe
• Sell 100m 07 to the hosts , they for example would pay 1:10, and resell at 1:12
• Take the EOC GP that I got and sold for .35/M after fees on PA
• each 10m eoc thats worth 3.5 basically only cost me 2.5 at the time
• net easy $100 profit with minimal work, of course if you host yourself that becomes $200+

. I'd just flip the gold without even spending much time hosting and proceed to sell the EoC on playerauctions for $1-1.5 profit/M 07. Having a swap thread here you have to compete with MANY trustworthy people. It's really easy for you to suggest that since you have an already established reputation, but since he has the initial payment required for a rank I truly think that the avenue a non trusted user should take is that of the swap cc's. By building up a stack on RS, they can sell their profits here on sythe to establish a reputation and eventually they can donate and start a swap thread.

I eventually was kicked from Home CC even after paying my weeklies due to inactivity, but I can say that I gained my investment back 10 fold. (Even after losing 2bill in a roulette game in their gambling IRC ^_^). I'm not bitter or anything because I just did not have the time to host anymore. I don't know what you have against swap clans but if you are active and generally likeable person you will recoup your investment. 400m EOC only requires a 200M 07 flip, which a lower ranked person can easily obtain in less than a week provided they actually host for atleast 2 hours and time their shifts when the majority of the higher ranks are not online.

But yeah, telling someone that has no reputation and minimal funds (less than 1k) to start a swap thread on sythe would not be a great suggestion. You are entitled to your own views but your past experience with them may be biasing your opinion. Sure you are paying 50m weeklies, but anyone that has an autotyper and time can easily flip more than 25m 07 in a week.

Regarding your "intial investment" and "weeklies fees" please notice that a lot of the prominent sellers are long time owners or people that have donated to sythe. Since he is starting with little/no rep he'll have to use MM and cut his margins by a fairly large chunk so you need to account for the extra time he puts in along with the lower margins on each trade.
