Suspended staff?

I've always wanted to know about this, but I didn't know where to post it. If you look at all the groups on Sythe, you'll see a section for "Suspended Staff". What is this group for? o.o

Currently, Chase and sUffer are the only ones in it. Does it mean they can come back at any time and retain their mod position?

I'd be grateful if you could answer my question

 

They are staff members who are gone for an extended period of time.

Darkgroove will be remodded on the 29th July if he passes a staff poll.

He has been demoted for inactivity before and so this is the protocol used. Moreover, posting on the Going Away thread is not a ''post-and-do-nothing'' opportunity, otherwise every staff would have posted on it as a permanent measure. If you remain constantly online despite posting on the thread, you are expected to do some modding. In Darkgroove's case, he was online far more than other staff through the duration yet garnered almost no moderator logs. We also don't simply ''demote'' people for having a bad month -- we use a probation system before demoting people. Darkgroove had been on probation a number of times and was on probation when again garnered almost no modlogs.

Incidentally, the modlog quotas have since been doubled as generating modlogs was actually deemed far too easy a task.

To summarise, if you're online frequently, you are expected to do some modding, irrespective of whether you've posted on the Going Away thread, otherwise we'd have exemptions every single month.

 

I'm "online frequently" because I don't turn off my computer. My msn is on 24/7; when i'm asleep, at school, or just out in general. And when I was at my computer, I had my exam notes next to me so that I could go over them (which was the whole reason I said I was going to be away for that month). I just had to clarify this as your post made it seem like I was online and not doing anything >_>
