Fair enough, I'm just saying for the people who are actually being truthful that kind of tactic will turn them away from Sythe.

 

You have been a fixture on the site as long as I have frequented it. Aside from a few lulls in activity you have proved to be nothing less than a great moderator IMO.

Kind of you to post! I only stay on because I can contribute and there are a few people that still like me here. As for activity, I'll probably be on time-to-time for the next year or so, but I won't be spending much time onsite anymore. As it is now I am actually on a break for the next month or so (admin-sanctioned).

Noticed you haven't been active as of late (must be due to the break forced upon you) which is a pity; although I sometimes think some of your decisions are a little harsh on disputes/pardons or just a little rude "no chance" etc etc, you've proven yourself to be a great global mod and hope you can resume your work soon[superman4admin?]

Great guy. Was super understanding about my unfortunate temp ban and was able to lift it in no time (2 days compared to a month). He understood the situation I was in and where I was coming from and was able to help me out. An A+ guy in general

I don't know which one is true, but you can't t go around making up rules. This is another reason why so many people are dissatisfied with staff, you can't be bias towards people and act like nothing is wrong with it. Whether the rule is you can't pardon if you haven't refunded someone or if it's that you're able to if you show attempts of contacting the victim(s), it needs to be followed. If the rule is bad it will be changed (In most places), because they'll be complaints about it, and if it's not then it will stay. What happened here will never work though, IMO it's just another example of poor moderation around the forum and staff doing what they want (Even though I agree with Dave's post if it's against the rules, and members should be able to agree to a double refund if they want to be pardoned for scamming, pay and pay again if the person comes back).

 

Hey there - very sorry, that was completely my mistake and unintentional. Some other staff members addressed this in the staff lounge right afterwards and it has been clarified. For some reason I was under the impression the rule was changed, I thought I had read a community thread about it a few weeks ago where the rule got changed, but I can't seem to find it now, so I'm not really sure why I was under the impression it was changed (maybe I'm hallucinating or something). I assure you that I did not mean to block the user from being unbanned by making up a rule.

I haven't really run across superman too many times, but the time that I did, he handled my situation with character and professional standard, which is exactly how things should always be accomplished.
