Summoning Tank or 1 Def Pure?

Hi guys.

As some of you may have seen my progress log (signature), I thought I'd ask your advice.

Within the next 4 weeks, I will have achieved my goal of 95 summoning on a level 3(+11). From there, I can either get defence and stay 95 summoning and use iron titan.

OR

I can become a low level pure with 99 summoning (which would only take 2 weeks extra) and use steel titan with a high ranged level, staying in the mid 50's or early 60's. (I think the primary attack of the steel titan is ranged, with a higher level range comes higher hits).

Any help/advice?

theres no money in low lvl pking anyways, unless you get lucky

I agree to an extent about the money part. I pk because I enjoy it, nothing really to do with money.

But saying that, on the obby mauler I recently sold which was maxed CB 51 - I made alot of money. Theres alot of dbows and zerk necks to be pk'd at that level.

Pure... As a summoning tank your kinda stuck in that niche. 50 atk 71 str 1 def with 80 ranged and a steel titan would be insanely fun. G'maul spec when you fire off a steel titan spec.

Then once you get bored of being 1 def (inevitable). You can always get 96 sum and get into the clan world as a zerker (which is what I did after about 4 years on my 1 def'r)

Stay level 15 with 99 summoning
would be awesome
then max out all skilling skills
Low level pk is horrible so u would need to do a lot of levelling in combat to get some decent kills/money to make it worth it

Edit:To the person who says pures aren't profitable anymore, I don't think you know what you're saying?
I have made most of my bank from it, without Smite even, you just have to know how to PK.

@OP, what would your cmb be as both?

With 75 defence, 95 summoning and 50-60 HP I'd be between 31-34 CB (+12).

Staying a 1 defence pure, fully quested and a high range - I'd be looking at 58-63CB dependant on if I got 13, 31, 45 or 52 prayer.

Pure, Theres so many summoning tanks out there, and the lower cb lvl would also be awesome. If you dont like it you can always train you're def afterwards, but i wouldn't decide untill u tried 1 def for a while.

Anymore input I can get from you guys? I'll be getting 95 this weekend and need to make a choice.

I'm personally aiming towards tank as I already have a 1 def pure. Only think thats holiding me back is not being able to make the account into anything else except a range tank IF I got bored of being a summon tank.

You should definitely stay 1 Defence, get 50 Attack and use a G-maul spec when your Titan specs.

Honestly, you`ll have to make a decision based on the type of person you are. If your able to keep entertained doing 1 thing the rest of the acounts life pking then go with the summon tank.

If you know you`ll be bored after pking for a month then go pure. because summoning is something useful to pures in multi.

I have thought about this alot. A bit of background you should know. I've had ALOT of gmaulers and always got bored of them fairly fast (although this account would have a new element) but gmauling just doesn't keep me entertained for long enough. (1 banging level 55's-60's almost every time would be very fun for a while though).

I have a higher levelled pure which will soon be back in a clan (ex-mm) and clan pking keeps me entertained quite alot.

I want to avoid making this another high level pure account and am aiming to stay relatively low level because I find lower level pking (solo) more entertaining than bridding at higher levels or whatever.

If I made it a 1 defence pure, wouldn't it eventually creep up to a higher level because of the range xp i'd be getting with titan?

I'm just trying to weigh the pros/cons of each account build. Making the wrong decision would be a real waste of 95/99 summoning on such a low level.

I would not get defense. You will be hard pressed to find a fight with high def and summoning. Make it 1 def pure.

It will be hard to get stakes and fights, since you will have one awesome account either way

Yes, You would eventually get 99 range. Though if u only use the titan to fight i dont think u would gain hp xp.
