Honestly suiciding in deadman mode is a joke. Why should people be able to just kill people in "guarded" zones without any risk what so ever. The guards are useless. Ive seen people exploit the game mechanics as guards dont seem to be able to walk round corners? I have died to suiciders a couple of times now whilst training skills like herblore in varrock west and even seers bank etc. Anyone else hate this way of playing and think it should be fixed?

Honestly I think suiciding is a fine mechanic considering how guarded zones are not meant to be completely safe. I'd support some kind of more severe penalty for people who repeatedly die to guards though.

Hey guys,

Just sharing my story - I died last night while spinning flax in lumby. While spinning flax, a level 54 opening the door inwards and hid behind the door so guards couldnt kill him quickly. He began to Ice Blitz me and killed me.

At first I was pissed... I was over 1000 total level and had 1.5mill cash +1.5mill items in bank. Afterwards I realized it was 100% my fault.... it was the first time doing something without food in my invy and I got burned for it.... I risked for more xp and it was my fault... this is why I play deadman.. risk vs reward.... if I knew I was safe at all times it wouldnt make deadman mode what it is to me.

Learn from lessons and at the end of the day.. you will be a better deadman player :D

just my 2c.

Understand that frustration; but it's up to the user to take precautionary measures so as to negate these occurrences. This to me wouldn't constitute something unfair; merely a lesson learnt.

I can understand that its part of the game but 0 risk to make bils is kind of stupid. I dont mind dying as its part of the game. Im taking the risk and can accept that I may die. But the fact that a guy can just spec you out without risking anything and repeating doesnt seem like a way the game should be aloud to be played.

Well they fixed suiciding today.

In a safe zone, all keys are dropped to the floor.
Keys on the floor which belong to a player who dies are destroyed.
A player frozen by guards cannot pickup or telegrab items.

That was on the updates of today, cya suiciders.

Also for boxers

Changes to boxing

A number of players have been staying in combat with friends or low level monsters, dealing very little damage and receiving very little damage, in an attempt to avoid dying to PKers.

It is now possible to attack players in this sort of combat. If you are looking for a kill and you see someone in one of these sorts of situations, make sure to try attacking them! You may well be able to hop in and grab yourself a loot.

I keep getting hit by suiciding accounts, however I've always been prepared with food/getaway methods.

In some senses it's ridiculous but that's the mode itself.

I agree with what a lot of the people on the comments are saying, there's a reason they're called "guarded zones" and not "safe zones", they are not intended to be completely safe.

If you're training in a guarded zone, do so with food in your inventory and don't afk/look away from more than a few seconds at a time, that's what I've always done and I've only died once in DMM.

Yesterday in lumb bank there was a level 14 spamming and selling cammy tabs. I logged on to my mage and two hit him, returned to 110 cammy tabs and approx 1350k cash. That was his fault for having no food and holding that much wealth at such a low level.

I like the uncertainty of dead man mode, the guarded zones are pretty on point the way they are.

It wouldn't make sense to try and penalize/prevent players for attempting to kill others at any cost in this game mode.

Exactly. Theres nothing you can do about it atm, other than complain on reddit and hope it gets enough attention to warrant a poll. Other than that, bring food.

This is a very interesting update. Is there like a "set damage" one has to inflict in order to not get attacked by pkers when fighting other monsters or people? Is there like a time limit to the boxing as well?
