Suggestions on VPS

I want to hear what you guys have to suggest for a VPS I might buy..

Currently I have my own domain at hosting24.com and it would be good to have my vps there.
The problem is that it costs 15 usd a month, and there is no windows...

Anyone know any better sites that can beat this?

I have had more than one bad referral from that site. It's a great site, don't get me wrong, but the providers that are listing their products on there aren't all so reliable. Some of them just want to grab a bunch of cash and bolt. It's not often but it still happens.

 

That's like saying eBay is a bad site because the people that list stuff on it have bad items.

Find a Vps that gives test IP's and do all your own diagnostics with those. Do research into the company with whois... If you don't know what I'm talking about, (or if you don't know how to do a simple packet test) then you should just stick with mainstream hosts...

 

Well... Diagnostics won't do anything if the company is unreliable. They could jet with your money, you don't know how long they are going to stay in business.

OVH is cheap and very high end.

but as you say, there can be bad providers and I'll have to find the right one.

I will try out OVH cuz its cheap and I think it will be good as my first VPS.
