Suggestions for DOUBLE EXP WEEKEND!!

Many people are talking about the upcoming Double Experience Weekend. Many are asking on suggestion on what skill to do. I will be trying to help most of you on what would be the best skill to do. Also I want to get you ready, and help you with what supply you could buy to save more money and gain more Exp.:nuts:
Bonus XP Weekend will be running over the Labour Day weekend, from the 3rd to the 6th of September 2010.

NOTE:BONUSES DO NOT STACK

THE BEST SKILL TO BE DONE FOR BONUS WEEKEND IS HERBLORE

Melee Skills {NO EXP BONUS}

Magic {Save a lot of money on Runes}
1-99 Save around 30-50 Million Gp.
*High Alching would be the fastest way, since all you do is click in one spot.
You would get around 130 exp per Alch.

Prayer {ONLY 1.1X EXP}
1-99 Save around 150 Million Gp.
*First off make sure you use a Guilded Altar, and go as fast as you can, every minute counts.

Cooking {Not Recomended}
1-99 Save around 5 Million Gp.
*Cooking is one of the easiest skills in Rs, so I would not concentrate on an easy skill.

Woodcutting {Fast Exp!}
1-99 Make less 10 Million Gp.
*Woodcutting can make you some easy money, plus now with Willows you can get to 130k Exp an hour!.

Fletching {Not Recomended}
1-99 Save 2 Million Gp.
*Fletching is a very easy skill, so I would save it for a different time.

Fishing {NICE Experience}
1-99 Make less 10 Million GP.
*Fishing is the best skill you can do for the Exp.

Firemaking {Fast 99}
1-99 Save 15 Million Gp.

-Normal - 80 xp
-Oak - 120 xp
-Willow - 180 xp
-Teak - 210 xp
-Arctic Pine - 250 xp
-Maple - 270 xp
-Mahogany - 315 xp
-Eucalyptus - 387 xp
-Yew - 405 xp
-Magic - 606.6 xp
*This will get you 99 in no time!

Crafting {Save a lot of moeny}
1-99 Save 30-50 Million Gp.

-Green Dragonhide Body - 372 xp
-Blue Dragonhide Body - 420 xp
-Red Dragonhide Body - 468 xp
-Black Dragonhide Body - 516 xp
*With Body Dragon hides, you can get 99 really fast.

Smithing {Save Time}
1-99 Save 9 Million Gp.
*With Gold Smithing Gloves you would get 130 exp per gold ore!!!!

Mining { OMG just do it}
1-99 Make less 50 Million Gp.
*Mining is one of the hardest Skills in Runescape, very low exp for ores, so this is your chance to get a higher Mining level!!

Herblore {Save the most money}
1-99 Save 250 Million Gp.
*If you don't have the money to do it later, do it now and save 250 Million shiny coins.

Agility {Fast Exp}
1-99 Don't lose or gain money.
*Very hard Skill and shoud be done if some the other skills are done.

Thieving {Easy}
1-99 Make less 5 Million Gp.
*Since there is Pyramid Plunder this skill is not recomended.

Slayer {Goes with Melee}
1-99 This would never happen in 3 days of double exp.
*Slayer is a timeful skill, so you have to take the time to do it, Exp Weeked won't do much for you for slayer.

Farming {Save Time}
1-99 Save 1 Million Gp.
*Farming Takes a long time, and you can save around 33 Hours on your seeds over the weekend.

Runecrafting {Save's you life}
1-99 Save 50 hours/20k pures.
*Over the weeked you can gain around 200k-400k Extra exp, which is a lot of Runecrafting.

Hunter{Save Time}
1-99 Make less 5 Million Gp.
*Many people will be doing Hunter, so I recomend staying away from hunting. The exp wont be good, since a lot of people will be hunting.

Construction {Save Money}
1-99 Save around 30 Million Gp.
*If you get your hands on the planks, this skill can be easily done, and will save you a lot of money.

Summoning {Not Recommended ONLY 1.1X EXP}
1-99 Save 33 Million Gp.
*If you have the chamrs, go for it, this skill is very useful and can be done in no time with double exp.

Dungeoneering {Do not do}
1-99 Nothing will happen.
*This skill is a waste of time, Do not do it, there are many other useful skills you can use your double exp for.

* I hope this helped you and prepared you for the Double Exp Weekend.

 

Double exp does not apply to Summoning, or Prayer I think. Not too sure.

 

Double exp is like the last time. you start @ 2,7 times more exp.
than after 45min it keeps dropping so it wont save 15M@fm.

EDIT: Woodcuting with ivy's can get you around 200k/hr first hours.

 

Goldsmith guants don't stack with double xp weekend and summoning and prayer only get a 1.1x bonus which sucks.

 

I'm going to get 95 magic and then work on herblore. I don't know if you have 2x the whole week or just a portion of it like last time.

 

There are many faster methods than alching.
You could stun, plankmake, pie-bake, superheat, or string jewlery. All would be a lot faster than alching.

No.
Prayer is not worth doing during the weekend. The base xp for burying a bone is all that is boosted. The bonus from altars do not stack with the overall xp bonus.

No.
The bonus from gloves does not stack with the overall xp bonus.

No.
The bonus from gaunts does not stack with the overall xp bonus.
Making platebodies is much more recommended for smithing, although double xp is easy obtain by just simply using SC tools.

Summoning will not be boosted significantly during this weekend. Training it isn't very helpful until your overall mod is already at 1.1x.

Conclusion:
it's a Bonus Xp Weekend, not a Double Xp Weekend. You don't get double xp in everything you do for the duration of the whole weekend.
Read up and check your facts before getting some noob to waste 200m on dragon bones which won't give him any significantly boosted xp.

 

These are methods and ideas. I want people to save as much money as possible. It's not all about exp, you have to save money too. Also for the fishing tip, the gloves were not included to the overall fishing exp.

 

You start off with 4x Exp, then it slowly goes down to 1.1x Exp. At the end it all averages out to 2x Exp.

 

Gold gauntlets don't stack on that weekend.

People need to get their facts straight before writing any guides....

Bonus XP weekends should be initially used to train useful, high-cost skills. For example: Herblore, summoning. Since Jagex nerfed summoning to a constant 1.1x throughout the event, herblore is the best option to save money.

Normal bonus multipliers do not stack with the event, and they are turned off during the event i believe. Mini-game XP rewards are NOT affected by the multiplier.

 

This is my first guide, so usually people make mistakes. Sorry for any mistakes I've made. I will be fixing them.
