Suggestion: Vouch Addition

Maybe we could have like somthing that when you click on the persons username, you could post a vouch for them and each person had this but it wasnt a forum it was just stored in there username.

 

Actually, in this forum type this would not be hard to implement, using the reputation system, but our general userbase doesn't follow along with reputation, nor read the rules. Most people are just concerned with posting what they want to get done, and then check in on it.

 

yea but many of the users here are using the black market and with this we can simply click on someones name and how many vouches they have and possibly who they are from. This would help reduce the number of scammers considerably and only people with like 20 or more posts should be able to give vouches. It would be very helpful and doesnt seem like it would be hard to make

 

How about being able to store all their vouches in the public profile? That would be convenient.

 

This seems like a very good idea.

Honestly, with the whole Sythe market depending on a person's reputation and vouches, it's always seemed slightly retarded that we have to make a "service" thread to store our vouches. I don't offer any services, so where can I keep mine?

This would make it MUCH easier for buyers to verify seller's vouches and vice versa, and it would also help keep signature sizes down (which would make TDD's job alot easier )

Overall, a great idea. I hope this goes through.

 

It's a great idea! I just got my first vouch some days ago and as I want alot more, I'm thinking: "where am I supposed to store them all? I can't put them on my sig as it has a size limit.. " This would solve all problems! And with a requirement to give vouches of like 50+ posts, there would be less scammers!

 

So, how do I know if or when my suggestion is going to be put in place? or like if anything is going to happen or whatever

Poeple will just start creating numerous sythe accounts and then Adding +1 Repuation on there so called "Main account".
Thats how i think about it...

 

yea, obviously you didnt read zehuntar, i said they should have to have a certain number of posts like 50+ to give a vouch. I dont know about you guys but i wouldnt get 50 posts on an account just to get 1 vouch

 

wow that is a great idea. stupid shredderbeam posted a stupid thing in my sig and I lost a bunch of vouches

 

I like the idea. It's simple and easy. Plus it would allows checking the vouches faster.

Lol, I second him. This sounds like a really good idea. Some sort of reputation system, comments/vouches through the member profile. I like it a lot.

 

Why do you need vouches then?

 

I do support the idea but I have a few Questions:
1) Will moderators be checking for fake "Reps/vouches"?
2) How can other users view these comments?
3) Are these comments just for trades or other things like useful threads etc.

 

I like the idea, if it was implemented in such a way that people could not make fake vouches, then it would reduce the number of scammers who rely on fake vouches.
