    Dear Sythe,

I've seen some posts @ name section and @ reports of people who claimed they had names they didn't have, i think we should add a rule thst if people claim they have ' super' rare names like Beast or Osrs just big names they should verify they have the name with a mod before being allowed to post it

    Greetings

They already do that for some sellers. Usually if something is suspect about the name then just report it tbh. Mods don't have time to appraise each name and judge if its worth of their time to verify it in game.

    Yeah this wont fly.

First of all you cant clarify what a "super" rare name is. Obviously the whole community knows 1/2 letter name/numbers are rare but is "dumbledore"
Rare enough to be required before posting? Where do you draw the proverbial line as to what is and is not required to get a moderator to approve.

In addition if you get the moderators to check it; how is that done?

If you get the user to send screenshots how do we prevent against fake screenies?

If we get the moderator to meet up with the person in game that is a huge waste of moderator time. In addition to the fact that the moderators would already have to follow up with posts that do not have the required proof.

Its infinitely easier for the buyer to do their due dilligence before trading; or for them to put their trust into somebody worth trusting, instead of some newcomer on sythe who is selling the name "1" for 25m.

    Tyler put this quite nicely.

Thanks for the suggestion, but Moderators do not have time to go through and verify every 'rare' name on the market.
