Suggestion for Mods on Vacation

Set their UT's and/or Sigs in Bold as "ON VACATION BE BACK (insert date here)"

Shouldn't be too hard and saves questions as to where Mods are and if they are doing work or not.

I think a secondary (or additional) option is for them to be required to make a thread in the farewell section, especially if they are gone for more than a long weekend.

 

Support, although I do think they should just notify other staff if they're going on vacation and the staff should just change the U.T to VACATION in yellow or some other bright colour.

 

There's already a rule like that. Updating your signature would be a good idea.

 

Support, would save some confusing and would stop some people crying that they aren't doing any work.

 

I bet some moderators or form of staff go on vacation and no-one ends up knowing anything about it.

 

They actually have to do something specific, but I believe the public too should know.

 

Or you could just make a profile option for everyone?

I agree with this, It would help people if for instance they needed Spyike to donate, yet he was on holiday some people might wonder where he is and start to complain. I support.

Not necessary. Only Administrators need to worry about moderator activity.

It's up to the moderator if he/she wishes to inform the community.

 

I thought this was already in place because I see many people doing this, including Skele Master when he went on vacation a couple weeks ago.

It's ultimately the moderators decision. They are required to alert the staff that they will be going away, but a public message isn't required. Moderators aren't forced to announce everything publicly.
