Suggest a minirank - Sticky

Add a suggest a minirank sticky in the sandbox forum so anyone can suggest one there instead of creating a thread in this forum. Reason being as you can suggest these in high volumes and there isn't a set location to do so.

 

Support mainly because it will remove a lot of clutter in the suggestions forum.

Don't feel people should be suggesting mini's either way, but idk.
Nobody participates in Sandbox to realise or give attention to anyone wanting to suggest a mini.

 

Miniranks suggested in the spam forum are a lost cause unless Richard requests one be made. Adding this sticky to the sandbox forum (where miniranks are inhabited), will increase activity in that section. Saying the sandbox forum doesn't get a lot of attention as a reason of not giving it more attention doesn't quite make sense.

 

Sure, it'll help keeping this section clean since it's not too important.

 

Just as Gracious said, "since it's not too important". Suggesting mini's isn't important, and people who want to suggest mini's seem to think it's important. Sand box doesn't get attention enough to warrant suggesting miniranks to be made there.
You see that army mini suggestion; you see the debate about that? That's not something that should be apparent in sand box.
I get the point; I just don't see it working as well as you'd like it to. With the whole get SandBox more attention.

 

It's not important, so it shouldn't be suggested here is what he meant just from interpretation. The majority of miniranks have been suggested. Again, your reasoning for not doing this is because the sandbox doesn't get a lot of attention, so why not increase activity or at least give reason to view the forum more through this method?

Why do you not see this working out? It's literally a thread with miniranks being suggested. What won't work out? You aren't giving a logical reason.

 

The reason why I said no; is because I find it silly when miniranks are requested in other places then spam forum.
Even though I think the above, and that sandbox wont get people the attention they want - and if it gets attention it can sometimes be negative, which isn't the right thing for sandbox section. It makes sense to have a place for minirank suggestions considering people just post it anywhere; I just find the reason behind it a bit daft is all.

No. You're confusing what I'm saying now.

I find it silly when people request for miniranks outside of Spam Forum - because they tend to mean nothing.
Unless it comes with an actual point or reasoning, i.e. Helper miniranks, or thread creation incentives for miniranks. Real suggestions that can be aided by miniranks.
Not just people requesting a make of a miniranks, when there isn't really any benefit for the community out of it.

If it's just for the purpose of requesting it, just 'cos? Sure... in a sticky in sandbox.
If it's an actual suggestion that would have a minirank as a beneficial factor, stay in suggestions.

 

I didn't confuse anything. You said your "reason" for saying no is because you find it silly to request miniranks in sections outside of the spam forum. You followed that by reiterating the same points you made. Only now are you expanding on that specific point to which is still reiteration.

By and large, whether you think it won't help is a matter of opinion, one which doesn't make sense. This suggestion is straightforward in approach.

Process:

- A sticky is made
- Miniranks are suggested (with reasoning)
- Richard approves ones he likes

What this does is:

- Have a set location to request/suggest miniranks
- Group minirank suggestions in one place
- Increase activity in the sandbox

There is no negative to this.

 

Support this, just gives a thread to get general suggestions/ideas on instead of 10 diff threads, no reason not to.

 

Yeah, I'm going to have to support this.
I would like to suggest more Minis, and feel like "Suggestions" will just get clogged with MiniRank suggestions.
I don't care where it's put, just somewhere that they will be taken seriously.

 

i fully support this idea, the sandbox is where "everything minirank" happens. only makes logical sense to throw in a suggest a minirank section. would keep the forums less cluttered
