I've never personally dealt with subaru_fan, but he seems like a pretty chill dude + he gets my reports handled in a timely matter.

Would like to say thank you to Subaru here for helping my pardon request go through.

Was more than happy to talk to me on skype throughout the entire process and tried their best to help me get the information I needed when it wasn't available to me.

Haven't seen you post on a single thread until today other then reports since your promotion to staff. Try being more community involved.

 

I have had several pressing deadlines at University, including going through the PhD application process which is very time consuming - my activity will be picking back up to normal levels in the coming days

Not sure what you thought neccesary on this report, but simply not doing anything is not what I feel is needed there.
Look at the topic if you will, it's filled with violating bumps and the post in there was pretty much a personal attack, when I only tried to warn the user of the rules on the market.

 

At times I may not take any visible action - I may well PM the user, infract the user, or feel that at this moment in time, no action is needed.

There is the rare occasion where I may lock a report and take no action whatsoever, it's just a matter of using best judgement.

 

So this user saying I'm intellectually uncapable is not grounds to remove the post by the user?
Don't get me wrong, I get that invisible actions may be used (and could be in this case) , but that post should not be there now in my opinion.

 

As far as I'm concerned you posted a rule reminder to the user (when doing it via PM would have been just as fine, if not more relevant to the point you were trying to make) and as a result of that you got a very minor insult.

I don't have an issue with the post, but if it falls into a flame war then I will just lock the thread.
