Sub-Forum for Donation Threads

My suggestion is to create a sub-forum for donation threads. This is mainly to bring all possible donation methods into the same place, whilst moving them at the same time from places they don't particularly belong.

My problem at the moment is donation threads are located in two places, either Runescape Gold Buying or Digital Currency Non-Game Sales, both in my opinion inappropriate locations.

Considering that all these threads are stickied, in a place like Runescape Gold Buying where your thread falls of the first page quickly enough anyways, having four threads stickied about donations doesn't make sense to me (four including when nerfed gets his stickied). To me that's four potential threads you could have on the first page which are actually looking to buy RSGP.

The other donation threads in the other market section if you ask me are also in the wrong place and if it hadn't been for the donation center I probably wouldn't have even thought to look there.

So I suggest creating a sub-forum in Community General called "Donations", or something along those lines, which will only contain donations threads. Post count will be removed in this sub-forum and the ability to create threads will also have to be removed. Stickied threads also won't be needed as the donations threads should all fit in the one page and the OP will be free to spam they're online & thanks as much as they want.

My reasoning behind picking Community General was simply due to the description (Community discussions and donations), however in all honesty I don't particularly care were the sub-forum is located as long as one is created.

 

Maybe. Thing is there would only be like 5-6 threads in there and the section would be pretty dead and empty most of the time. You can find all the thread links in the donation centre.

 

I think this could be a good idea. it doesnt matter if the section is dead Laptop... its for donating, not buying gold on games lol.

Well, technically the section should only be used when people are going to donate. If no one is donating you're right in saying it would be dead, however it would be dead in the same way the vouch forum is dead unless someone vouches.

I personally fail to see why the threads should be in Runescape Gold Buying or in any other market section for that matter, as they're currently just taking up space from people using the sections for their correct purpose.

Also, I know you can find the thread links in the donation center and the majority of people will find the donation threads this way. I just figured moving the threads to unclutter the sections would be a good idea.

 

I was just going to bump the thread for exposure, however after seeing the new donation thread by exapto I would also like to add there now could be five potential threads stickied in the Runescape Gold Buying Section if the latest donation services by exapto and the one previously mentioned by nerfed get stickied.

As mentioned in my OP I don't particularly believe the threads should even be there in the first place. However, disregarding that, I feel the fact there now could be five threads stickied is enough reason to justify the sub-forum alone.
