stupidest way you have lost money?

Getting scammed at the DA via fun weapons. Total idiot.

 

When I was a kid I was really gullible, and I didn't know how to really make money in the game. When I made my first 1m as a F2P player it was probably the greatest feeling ever. Little did I know there were people who would lure people like me, and this guy went on a long conversation about random stuff that I can't even remember. He asked me if I wanted more money, and obviously I replied yes. He told me to follow him, and I continued following him and he was walking to the wild. By the time I realized what he was trying to do, it was too late as I was in level 10 wild, and a bunch of people came out and killed me. That day was the stupidest way I ever lost money.

 

Back in 2007, some random guy said we should share our accounts. His account had much higher levels than mine and he went first, so I decided to trust him with my account as well. The next day my whole account was wiped and I lost all my items and gold.

 

Once at the duel arena this guy tried to scam be by swiching magic on instead of melee. I kinda figured id just anti scam him as he was like 20xing my stake.
Of course i forgot my water runes and got beat anyway

 

Back in the day got item scammed for half my bank. The dude switched a d2h for a d long...

 

I thought I was rich enough for giveaways... Gave away so much... lol

 

Was drop trading like 70m back in 2008-2009 from my skiller account to my main account and servers went down right after i dropped the cash. I quit the game for like 3 months after that.

 

in 2003 i first bought members, at members market someone was saying selling dragon axe 50k... they were like 200k so i traded him immediately and turns out he sold me a bronze axe , i'd never seen a dragon axe before so did not question it lol

50K was a lot back then!

 

I got lured in 2011 by someone who I knew since 2008 and he preferred 50M over 3 years of friendship

Was the only time I got lured in rs so yeah

 

Changed settings in duel arena lost a good amount getting baited.

 

Probably withdrawing all of my astrals/earths/deaths when pking and then dying.

 

Way back in like 2006 I was lured to the wildy with my guthix rune platebody. Naive little kid I was back then.

 

one time i got scammed when the new teleport tab scam was out where they would get you to click on it or however i thought i would outsmart the guy but fml -.- ..20m

 

Lured. I was mad, but then come to the understanding the lurers are losers and it's just pixels. All is good.

Lol my friend lent me sgs back when bh craters came out, i went in and randomly killed someone then realised i could not leave. Gf his sgs

 

A few years ago I wasn't that clued up on luring etc. Was at g.e and somebody showed me his bank which was atleast a bill. All I had to do was walk into the wildy with my best 3 items (full bandos and fury). Then he dropped a noted dragon 2h and told me to pick it up. Turned out it was 4 2h's and he downed me with claws lol. D2h alch price was higher than my items. Safe to say I never got lured again after that ha.

Get scammed in sythe 5-6 years ago, bought 3-4 pin and dont worked

 

Spent £150 (should have been around £20-30) on a local taxi from Cambridge back to my home. Of course I was intoxicated.
