Stricter/more rules on training/questing services

With recent scam reports happening, I would love to see added rules in the training market.
As a avid trainer myself I feel like there is no real protection against scam reports that say a trainer botted.
Therefore I'm suggesting these rules or at least trying to open a dialogue about them.


Rules I'd like to see added:
1) Provide screenshots of level up if using OSBuddy or if specifically requested.
2) Screenshots must be in resizable (exception for activities that you can autoclick)
3) 100% liable for workers (I personally teamviewer my workers at random intervals)
4.1) Must be responsive and willing to give a screenshot upon request (exception to this rule if using workers.)
4.2) Users have the right to ask for a specific screenshot; "hey I'd like a screenshot of 70 str when you achieve it" <- THIS ALSO APPLIES TO NON OSB USERS.
4.3) This rule should also come with a 3 day cooldown, meaning that a user cannot request a screenshot every day (this gets annoying real fast.)

Reasoning behind re-sizable, there is no client out that support re-sizable osbuddy to bot on.

Yeah, but it reduces the chances and not everyone knows how to code and if they could make that then they wouldn't run a shitty service. The argument would be the same for people self-impostering with a vpn.
The whole point of this suggestion is to keep your market as free and safe as possible, as a community this is not only what we should strive towards but also what we deserve.

Not everyone uses osbuddy, no problem you are not obligated to use osbuddy, but if your client asks for u to use osbuddy and you didn't you're liable.
If your client asks that you provide a specific screenshot (70 STR) and you don't have it you're liable.


-I thought u were getting hacked
If you take items of an account without having the owners approval you should instantly be slapped with TWC.
The security of their account is their responsibility not yours, unless of course you get hacked (skype/sythe) in which case it's your fault.

I'd like to have clearer rules/guidelines to protect myself against false accusations.

I've seen way too many reports of people being accused of botting and then the account is lost and a refund may or may not happen for the service. I have seen the scenarios go both ways, I have yet to see a median or any mod try and make some changes to how these cases need to be handled. Support.

 

This doesn't stop the possibility of someone botting. Bot til you almost reach a level, hop on a different client, take the screenshot when you reach the level. At most, it makes the process more annoying, but it's still doable.

 

Valid point but this would still require way more effort then someone just botting it, + the botter only has to be stupid for 1 minute to miss it & be held fully responsible.

 

Please tell me people get slapped with twc already... if they claim I thought u were getting hacked and move things without owners permission.

 

I think that should be a part of the trainer and the buyer's negotiation process. The buyer should request screenshots, progress reports, and remain in constant contact with the trainer. With that being said, having a strict set of rules probably wouldn't be the best, but it should be common sense for the buyer to know these things.

I Agree with you but there should still be a sticky in that case with useful tips. People often don't know about the simplest things.

 

None of these sound like valid rules really tbh, it's a service buyers responsibility to choose someone who will have a secure, safe service.

It's also their responsibility to choose a good service which can provide pictures or whatever they ask for, and if the service is good they always accommodate the customer(I know when I ran them I always tried to).

This seems like it falls under the free market clause, you cant baby people throughout the markets, it hurts the market overall, people need to make smart market decisions and this wont be a problem.

How about this. Say you do a service for someone and supposedly the account gets banned from botting, but that's not true. Than all you have to do is prove you didn't bot, like you said in your suggestion post. The other guy gets in trouble for faking.

Other side. You do a service and bot when you said you wouldn't. Guy reports and you have to refund the money, you have no way of proving you didn't bot. So you either have to refund or get banned...

Am I missing anything here? Seems like a good system now. Just be more careful and back yourself up with proof.

 

I have to respectfully disagree with this. With newcomers coming to this site, it's not always easy to choose a "good service". From what I've seen some very "trusted" users bot accounts. I don't think this falls under "babying" with a small set of guidelines. If you're hand training an account, taking screenshots takes literally a second and is not in the slightest bit an inconvenience. This will only deter people from botting and can't see this being a negative in any sense. Certain rules or guidelines being in place does not take away from a free market. For example, name sellers not being at fault for sniped names, account renters can't seize people's banks, hacked skypes are the owners responsibility ect. A few guidelines can ultimately deter people from scamming/getting scammed.

 

How do you prove that you didn't bot?
How does he prove I botted?

The system is flawed as flawed gets, Anyone could make a service get an account banned & say "Wasn't me, I dont' use bots, I don't use osbuddy either, so I have no screenshots" -> moves on to the next user & repeat

 

I can only comment so much; I'm not into this market/knowledgeable on it.
Just based on the reports I've seen or heard about; it seems too sketchy to me when people remove things from your account on the basis that they feel unsafe or something. Unless you have owners permission then; then move/don't move things.

I'd support some stricter rules^ for that.

 

Questing doesn't need any rules.. questing is human done.. it's literally a lot of work for coders to make a script to quest a certain quest.. Exclude f2p ones..

However, training. Ye. Training is a joke in here.

No support. If a skiller forgets to take just one picture by accident, that means he's entirely screwed on the order. I can see a lot of skillers forgetting pictures on at least a few levels on large orders.

Your screenshot doesn't prove anything, for all i know you have a mirror client for RS3 or botted levels 1-4 then ran to ge after ur script was done and took that screenshot

I never said you did? I specifically mentioned several cases where osbuddy doesn't apply?
