Stretched Ears (Gauged Ears, to the uneducated.)

I hate them because they look gross inside, and they smell horrid, though on the right person, they can look decent.
Lots of girls think they look disgusting too.
I have snake bites/angelbites/septum, so i'm not one of those anti-piercings kids either.
My friend has had his ears stretched, he took them out 8 months ago, yet they are still quite a big hole.

 

Well, gauged ears are just asking for attention.

 

I have 18mm's Snake bites and my tongue pierced, be warned it gets kind of addictive haha i planned to stop at 10mm!

EDIT: yeah In australia heaps of people have them ha, Also I think up to 12mm heal up on MOST people, but you can always use sandpaper to heal most sizes

 

Not where i live, 80% of guys have stretched ears here.
People can't see my ears because i have long hair, yet people are like 'so, how big are your stretchers?', they just assume i have stretched ears (but i don't) because they are so common here.

 

So if you didn't know what stretched ears were before reading this not pointless thread you're uneducated?

Tbh, I'm truly indifferent about whether or not someone chooses to stretch their ears. It looks good on some people.

 

It's pretty obvious judging by your responses that you just posted this in hopes that people would criticize them or say they don't like them just so you can enlighten them with what little knowledge you have on the subject (which was probably just recently learned, by a friend who has gauges and convinced you to get them etc).

That being said, I am in favor of gauges.

In addition to what Deacon said: You're proving his point by posting this topic. You posted it hoping you'd get responses from people you deem as "ignorant" so that you could try to change their minds about it. You're not original for stretching your ears, and it doesn't make you cool. You didn't need to put "Gauged Ears, to the uneducated." in your title, because it doesn't matter. It all means the same shit. Get off of your high horse, just because you have GAUGES doesn't mean you're instantly a gauge Shaman, God, Deity, whatever. Also, tapers are terrible for stretching your ears. Uneven stretching ftl. You're like all the scene kids I know. All they care about is standing out, and doing things they think "normal" people don't do, and they just love shoving it in others face's that they aren't like them. Everybody is their own person, we don't need you to tell us who you are.

I have no problems with stretched ears, only the people who do it only to stick out (like you). No prejudice to gauges considering my girlfriend also has 0s and BTW, they DO stink. You'd have to wash them like literally every hour on the hour to make them not stink. It's a fact, I don't even know why you're trying to dispute it. Anything trapped in a crevice on the human body is going to build up oil and other nasty (smelly) shit on it.

 

What are snakebites?

 

I have about a 8mm seashell in my ear - no, I did not stretch it by each gauge, nor do I measure it exactly... I just wanted the shell in my ear so I stretched my lobe to accommodate it. I think it looks cool, and to be honest my opinion is all that should matter - same way that most people would wear a specific item of clothing, because personally they like the look of it.
My ear does NOT smell at all, and multiple people including my girlfriend can back that up for me - I wash it every morning in the shower and I'm fine.

 

Not necessarily true. My girlfriend also has her ears stretched (00s), but hers never stink. But then you do have the people that don't clean them, and you can smell them across the room.

I have snakebites for a while now (1-2years)
Plenty of people in the United Kingdom have piercings and their ears streched and it dont seem a problem. I have walked into many shops and seen people with their ears streched working behind the counter.
People need to grow up and ask themselves why it is "Discusting" as their saying... people have their ears pierced...They have a hole in their ear... so do we but ours is a bit bigger. Why the fuck should you care, it's out body. And for people that say that you cannot get a job/girlfriend i have both. I'll post some pics of my piercings later.

 

I like them, but I won't be doing it, since I mightn't like them in the future.

 

It also depends on what the gauge is made of. My girlfriend cleans hers every day, probably more than once a day on most days. Also I hope you realize that you don't smell it just by smelling their ear. You have to actually smell the gauge, not the ear.

I was considering it but I decided not to, I'll probably regret it and end up removing them anyway, I decided to get some fake plugs which are quite cool.

I am getting snake bites though, but I'm only getting one for now.

 

It's pretty weird IMO.

I've seen a couple people here up in North Norway that have it, My old basketball Coach had it xD

It can look cool and weird at the same time, as long as you don't get them way to big.

 

Wow... this was an embarrassing read. The generation i live in truly sickens me, hearing about your perception of acceptance, style, conformity, non-conformity (which is completely contradictory) and class makes me physically ill.

How do they actulley stretch the hole?
And is it painfull

 

Well my girlfriend wore silicone earskins, but now she's wearing acrylic eyelets. And I've been near them when she's had the plugs out, and there wasn't any odor.

Mine had sort of a smell to them when I wore acrylic, but since I put in some stainless steel, the smell has gone away.
