Onto episode 3 now. Enjoying it thus far.

It's a new Netflix original series.

 

Finished the series yesterday, and I must say, 9/10.
Would recommend for any Sci-Fi fans.

Personal review:
Engaging from the first minutes of viewing, Stranger Things offers a new and intriguing view on the Sci-Fi genre. Leading you in step by step to try and figure out what the plot to why all these disappearing in this small town where nothing ever happens, leading you to make up you own theories to solve the mystery in the disappearance of Will and other characters. And to tell you that along your journey with this series, only stranger and stranger things are to happen.
At several moments in this series I had to pause, and tell myself, "what the fuck".

Story line: 9/10
Individual characters stories are well plotted, you get a point of view from every resident of this small town in Indiana.
Suspense ranking: 8/10
Horror ranking: 7/10 I jumped a few times, not easily startled. Good horror/jumpscare series.
Acting: 8/10

Overall: 9/10

Will watch again.

Watched it as well, I really liked it. It's a TV show that stands out from a lot of the others, with the main cast compromising of children who were pretty good at acting, much better than I'd have expected at least.

 

Indeed, the ending was also good. No major cliffhangers, all plotholes were closed and a new possibility for a sequel opened up right at the end without leaving you confused with the backstory. And still very excited for the next season.

 

I agree. I found the casting and acting to be very, very good.

It was so good, can't wait for season 2. I'm wondering where they will go with the show.

Nothing like supernatural. Nothing comes to mind atm, that I'd compare it with.

Just finished the second episode and it's interesting so far. Definitely worthwhile to watch.

 

Wait until you get further in, it just gets better.

I myself love the show and am doing a second watch through with my girlfriend (finishing the show again today), but it's great and while it grabs a lot from other shows/novels/and such, it does a good job of making it it's own.
