Straight Edge?

For you who know about this, more popular in highschool than middle :

Straight Edge - Doesn't smoke, Drink, Use, or have sex ( Symbol = X )

Not Edge - Does Smoke, Drink , Uses and Sex ( Symbol = O )

I see alot of kids around my school who walk around with their respected beliefs along that topic. I was wondering where you people stand and why.

I'm personally not edge, Not that Im dumb it's just whay I choose to do at parties and other social occasions.

Let me hear why you do it and how often.

I do not drink, smoke, or have intercourse based on my own personal morals.

I don't need to drink to have fun, and it is something I have taught myself and realized from learning about it. I am underage, and until I get to at least college, what's the point? Big whoop, you drank a beer, want a prize for that?

I have never smoked. I am not smoking, and I will never smoke anything. Any kind of smoking/ drugs (x, weed, heroin, acid, etc.). It just messes you up, and again, it just gives you a false sense of fun. You have a little bit of false temporary fun at the expense of long term brain and lunbg damage.

As with both smoking and drinking, my parents kind led me down the path, but I finished it. If I really wanted to smoke or drink, my parents words of wisdom would not change my mind.

So, if by your terms I am a straight edge, then I am.

Well, I smoke a lot, but honestly I don't drink alot. Sex, hell yes, who doesn't wanna have sex ;o? But I'm still a nice guy, who cares, it's you decision and I don't regret doing what I've done, live life to the fullest . (you haven't experienced life until you do acid, shrooms, or DMT. It takes you to another dimension that you usually don't see :])

Actually straight edge is represented with an X... I've never heard anything about an O, but maybe that's recent, I haven't dealt with that scene for over 4 years.

I could be considered straight edge I suppose, but I'd never identify myself with it. Alcohol, smoking, and drugs are obviously bad for you. And sex is just abused to much. But it comes down to my religious views ultimately.

I don't label myself that anymore because, in my experience, people act like they're better than others because they're "edge". A lot of them come off as dicks with superiority issues, so I distance myself from that.

The poll is flawed, because the only choices are "straight edge / clean" or "non straight edge / not clean". You can stay clean without having a label shoved down your throat.

It's not a label but more of a minor classification, I also made it so that you can express your opinion as I said in my topic starter, you don't have to vote, It to isn't shoved down your throat.

Anyways, I'm going to have to admit - I don't smoke or drink - however the third option I can't say the same . Since two apply, I voted straight edge.

theres more to being edge then just not smoking doing drugs or drinking, like you cant drink anything with caffeine, eat food with additives, stuff like that.

i've smoked a couple, drank a few, and been with girls there really isn't a in between but hell i can't live by the rules so i put not edge.
