Stop saying that GE is not oldschool

first of all, we got 2007scape because this was the only version they could provide to us, not because we wanted nostalgia....

secondly without updates this game is dead in 1yr

The game gets updated every Thursday, sometimes with new content.

You guys don't need a grand exchange. An automated trading post is a much better proposition.

 

It just takes away the community aspect that 07 has.

I say that due to the fact that in RS3 you can just go to the GE and grab anything you need. Where as in 07, you need to find a person and communicate. Yes it's a pain in the ass, but that's what is unique about 07.

I for one would take a GE due to me wanting to quick sell my loot or looking for quest kits.

 

Sure it's more convenient and easier to buy items, but it really takes away from a big part of the community aspect.

 

I agree that this will take away a lot of community interaction that was very beneficial to runescape in 2007.

 

A game doesn't need updates to survive. That's the dumbest argument.

 

No thanks to Grand Exchange. Trading Post adheres to all of my needs. Voted no to it on my two accounts.

 

Voted yes on all my accounts, no more wasting 4 hours to find items that people will only sell for 500k because they dont want to sell just 1 for a quest.
Trading post is just ingame zybez and half the retards have private off.

 

There was a fallback question asking if the trading post should be automated. That fixes your problem better than a grand exchange would because your items will retain their value.

 

This should all be part of one big GE debate thread. We have some threads open for why you shouldn't vote yes and some threads for why you should.

 

GE was added in 2007... It still stays "oldschool". The best version of RS was 2010 era tho, but they didnt give players a choice about which era they want.

 

They didn't have the option to give the players a choice.

 

I could be wrong here but wasn't 07 also when that fucking trade limit was introduced into the game for the longest time? Whenever that occurred was the worst period in RS history lol.

 

ge just makes life easier..... Vote yes and tell ur friends to vote too, if u dont want to stand in varrock west for 2hrs whenever u need something...

Hello price crashes, hello skills being worthless to train.

 

Honestly half of the people that I've seen publicly saying that they support the GE do not really even have a knowledge of what they are supporting, and as shown here like to sporadically spurt out random possible benefits and try to somehow correlate them with the GE.

In reality the antithesis of 90% of the alleged benefits are true lol, and no one ever seems to take into consideration how the GE will invariably devalue work put into MOST skills, though not all. :/

I honestly feel pretty sad that it looks as if it may pass. No one is looking at the long term effects just simply voting in the mindset "The GE means I get my items faster!!!!! Trading is easier!!!! VOTE YES FOR GE!"...

I feel as if a lot of the community is unaware of the long term effects the GE may incur on the game itself... ://

 

no selling bots at least... Gold farmers used merch bots to sell their product, so they made even more money...

 

tell us those long term effects lol.... and honestly idc if skills make less/no money at all..... rc still makes you enough money to get max total
