An actual good way to fix inferno scammers

Legit every day i logg onto sythe i see people @ the sythe inferno cape section, Having a rsps inferno cape picture, and i've done all i can to stop them but every time ifind proof its a rsps they're back within 1 day,


I think we should add a new thing to offering the inferno cape service which is a need to send a unedited picture, of the entire chatbox and everything to a syythe moderator, before being able to open a inferno post.


I know this is alot of work, but reasonable, we don't got alot of inferno cape service providers, and we won't get alot of legit providers ( max like 10), and this is easy to solve, just have a certain team ( im willing to do this) or a moderator, who's down to do it once someone posts a inferno cape picture, let him send pic of entire chatbox etc.

Inferno capes, are such a big scam if someone gets a scam and we should do all we can to stop this.

 

That's why i say send it to a mod who will leagve a comment he's verified to be able to do inferno.

 

Maybe just make them get "verified" by a moderator that they actually have a cape themselves? Would be an easy way. Doesn't have to be a must to be verified but it would scare people away if you aren't

 

Well, having a cape means u can just buy ome haha, having the unedited kill pic would be beter cuz cant have it boight/rsps

 

I have no idea how could you make sure the pic is real, it's very easy to fake it. And most scammers are just poor 12year olds who wouldn't afford the cape anyways

 

Well, there was a guy today who cut everyrhing out at a rsps inferno cape, just forget to cut out the minimap and got him banned like thst

Doing acape on a rsps the zuk looks exact same, just the chat etc not.... thats why having them send unedited pic = proof

It would legit take no more than 5 minutes of work to make screenshot look legit, these scamers are just lazy because no one cares. If they can't take the effort to make a normal screenshot right now they won't buy a cape to show it just for scamming lol

 

Trust me, ive seen alot of edited pics you cant edit one propperly, try it.

 

I don't think he understands how easy it actually is to edit the screen. 5 minutes of solid replacements and this can be achieved. I vote no to this suggestion But as @tigeris said a moderating verifys ingame capes could help alot but then they could have also just bought the cape there self

I wouldn't waste 5 minutes of my life doing this. But you are doubting graphic designers compared to people out to achieve a scam or bogus service. I'm sure if a designer went to post something like this the quality of the RSPS would match that of OSRS. You are comparing kids who cannot design and used paint for a quick copy and paste. Photoshop and a few other software's would make a significant difference

 

Not gunna lie I wouldn't be opposed to topics being under moderation like in the gold sections and once they've showed adequate proof then the topic gets approved. No real harm done and a little wait isn't much of an inconvenience for anyone who truly wants to participate in the section and run a genuine service.

 

Thats not how or why the gold sections are under moderated status.

I think everyone is forgetting weather the picture of the completion of the cape is legit or fake if the user has intentions of scamming they will scam regardless. What may make more sense to atleast prove the user is qualified to offer the service and lower the risk of a quick scam is to offer Inferno capers a verified minirank from a mod similar to what is given to League of Legends boosters who verify their rank in the League of Legends boosting threads.
