    Still banning for botting?

    I just came back to RS, and would like to do a fair bit of botting. I have a friend that has been botting heavily for the last year or so, including some 2 or 3 days suicide runs. It's all been on the same account, and he still isn't banned. Are they not looking for botters as actively anymore? Are higher level accounts that have been around longer not as likely to get banned?

    I don't think it matter how old the account is for it to get banned.

    An account 5 years + would have the same chances of getting banned as an account 1 week old.

    Most bans are based on player reports and crappy bots that get stuck or mess up on randoms.

    I'd say use premium bots if you are going to do it and be smart about it.
    Stay away from bots that have high ban ratios and stay away from areas that have you fight for the resource.

    Most people report you because you are taking the resource and they notice you are botting = report.

    So if I was botting, say, agility, I'd be less likely to get banned provided the bot doesn't screw up and get stuck on a random?

    Agility = Low ban rate.

    Yeah but you can't account for people reporting you which is probably more than half the reason people get banned.

    High ban rates are places where there is competition for resources where alot of people play legit. Such places are: red salamanders (although i botted these nearly 24/7 for awhile) red chins, obv, some mining areas, fishing, woodcutting, basically anywhere where a good amount of people actually play legit and when you don't respond to them, they report you.
