sticky in miscellaneous forum

I think there should be a thread in miscellaneous forum, then private servers telling people who are trading soulsplit gp/accs not to add people on skype to do trades as mods/admins are using it to find people's ip's, find there ingame's and ban them.

 

Is it possible for you to reword this suggestion using legible english? What I understand from this is you want a stickied thread that warns people against using Skype when trading sousplit GP (whever soulsplit is). The reason being; admins/mods are using skype to get IPs so they can ban people on their private servers. Is that correct? Why, then, should people worry about getting banned from a private server whose administration is banning people for no reason anyway? Why do admins/mods need IPs from skype when they can just get the IPs from private server statistics/logins?

 

Presumably so they can make the link to know 100% which people are RWTing

 

Ooooooooh soulsplit disallows RWT of their RSGP, I get it now. You want a sticky to discourage the use of Skype so that users can't get your IPs and snitch on you and have SoulSplit admins/mods ban you after you make the trade.


To that I say it's not really our prerogative to tell people how to do their trades. People should know the risks in RWT, even for a private server who disallows it (sort of ironic, imo). If they can't already conduct safe trades by using common sense, I highly doubt they would pay attention to a sticky in the Market about something like this.

 

I would also like to add if they did this through any other conversation method as soon as you told them the name to trade to they would just ban that account

 

Alot of people i know have been banned for it, some for 20b+

 

At the end of the day its like with RS. They prohibit RWT and wipe those who do it sometimes. SoulSplit do this also, by banning the accounts. At the end of the day it sucks, but there is little that can be done about it.
