Banned for posting on a report a scammer?

I have been banned for a week for posting on the report of a scammer 'sillyspesno' I needed a mod to confirm if it is Eren from sythe as that would enable me to get my $500 or so back. While I know its not directly linked to the report I need that information and I think anyone who is owed $500 and could see a potential of getting it back by posting on it would do the same. After my post was deleted Pendulum messaged me saying I got an infraction which I responded with the above however what he didn't understand is I had already made a report on this person just wanted confirmation so I posted again and that got me banned but shouldn't that be 2/7 infactions? I would like to be unbanned so I can take part in the CDT. I feel it is unfair to ban me when I am not a harm to the community yet when people who are not even TWC. I tried talking on the sythe discord to get this sorted before I was kicked in like a minue...
