Stellerdawn?

So I recently heard about jagex's new game steller dawn and I was woundering if people are going to play it. I play runescape and I am interested in their new game. If it's actually good i'll play it and i'll still play runescape. So tell me what your thoughts are on this game. If you don't know what it is or havn't really heard about it heres the website. It's still in beta also.

I usually give their games a try, like the funorb games and all that, but I doubt it'll be anywhere as popular as runescape was. By the way, is this not the same thing as mechquest?

 

Not much about the game released or images, just artworks. signed up for beta tho

 

Well, I hope it has some intense graphics.

 

They have been saying "Coming soon" for ages now. I remember when they first said it would be released in March 2010 and then it never came... I was so disappointed.

Honestly not expecting much. Will probably give it a try and then quit, unless there is money to be made.

 

I don't think I will. Not appealing enough for me to consider even trying.

 

This will be the same as "Sythril". That was something big that was suppose to come up, and 2 years later it is still just a forum.

When it comes out I might, slim chance, give it a try.

 

Yes and no. They scrapped the idea for their mech game but said they kept some of the idea's and came out with this. Not sure where I heard it just know it was officially from jagex you can probably google it and find out.

I was excited back when I first heard about it, when it was 'MechScape', but now it is just meh.

The concept art looks really nice, and I will most likely try the game, but I don't see myself getting too into it.

 

Dude, they originally said "Q1 of 2009"... I've been following the progress of this game since it was being called MechScape, registered on the first official fansite for the game in 2007... progress has been unpleasing to say the least. Hopefully soon, though!

 

So what you guys are saying is that the game will most likely be a fail if it even comes out?

At the rate of development, the majority of RS players will convert to other games within the next 2 years. Unless there is a release or some form of beta soon, it will be hard for their new game to be a stand out.

Most people will try it of course. But as stated above, will not be as popular as Runescape once was/(is?).
