    Steam Section modification.

I'm back again with another suggestion. :p

My suggestion is that we split up the steam section into a buying and selling subsection.

All of the other sections, including non-virtual goods (on a craigslist for virtual goods), have both buying and selling sections...

I know it's really not that big of a change, but it will help the people in the section to know who is selling and who is looking to buy, as well as giving the sellers an easier way of finding a buyer for their account/product.

Sythe is one of the bigger names for buying and selling steam accounts, so why not split it up at this point?

Don't see any cons.. but how can you specify a buying for a steam account?

There's no need for that whatsoever. The Runescape Account sales aren't split up in buying and sales sections either.

As sengira said, there's absolutely no need for this. No support.

    Steam Section modification.

Buying for a steam account is easy - you can tell specifically what games you want on it, what sort of digits you want on the account, whether you care if it's verified or unverified, and what your preferred payment method is (Paypal, WU, RSGP, Trade).

First and foremost, nice to see you back Sengira. :D

And yes, while you're right that the runescape account sales aren't split up in buy and sell sections, there are tons of other things that can be bought or sold in other subforums (names, levels, types, etc.) of that section. That makes it easier to go to a specific section and find exactly (or near exactly) what you're looking for.

With our section (the Steam section) there is only one section. Some people are looking to buy specific things from that section, an account with only (whatever game/s) on it, and can't find it (or someone to sell it to them). Sellers are looking to sell an account with (whatever game/s) on it and shouldn't be creating multiple threads for it.

I guess I can make an example:

I mean, it's not the perfect example but you get the idea behind it. If someone is looking to buy a specific game(s) at a specific price, it would be much easier for the seller to find them.

This would also help those who are looking to bulk buy games/accounts (black ops/CSS/CS1.6/(soon to be CSGO/MW3/BF3) - just like for the RS Gold market (buyers are always looking to spend less and sellers are always looking to get the most).

And even better examples are buyers themselves:

    http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1213394
    http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1210054

These are all people that posted today (8-22-11) and are already pushed to the second page by users looking to sell their accounts. Now unless sellers go to the second page, how are they going to know those people are looking to buy? Keep in mind these users can NOT bump their threads for 24 hours, nor can they create another new thread.

Oh... and this doesn't even bring in the idea of the Origin Accounts which will soon be sold on Sythe in the millions (and users looking to buy those accounts)... Yes this is looking into the future, but EA left Steam altogether and has now created their own platform (with BF3 being released soon - not selling to Steam).
