Steam Sales, small edit in rules.

Hello, I think it could be nice to add that you need proof of csgo skins and maybe with your sythe name in it.
Some skins are worth a lot and many in Steam Sales don't even post picture when its is about csgo skins, many does when it is about accounts or gifts.
Mods tell people to add proof when i report someone that has not posted any img when selling a skin. I just think it is time to be added.

EDIT: I just thought that a link to steam community should not be enough as proof. It could be a random guy with public profile.

• You may not put up an disclaimer that you aren't responsible if the password of an account you've sold is lost. If proof is given, you'll have to replace any recovered account you may have sold.
• Threads with accounts that are 4 digits* or lower have to be verified by a staff member.
• Threads that have ongoing disputes over the legitimacy of the accounts may be asked by a staff member to have accounts verified.

Thread lock offences:

• Threads selling keys without a scanned picture with Sythe username next to it.
• For steam accounts; pictures of Steam ID, Email/VAC status and games are required. If you're selling more than 8 accounts contact a staff member for verification.
• For Gifts/Games/CS:GO Items; you must provide proof of ownership for everything listed.
• Threads selling Humble Bundle accounts or similar. Those are for personal use and the money is for charity.

Permanent ban offences:

• Hacked, phished or otherwise illegitimately obtained accounts are not allowed.
• Cracks are also not allowed under the Warez rule (1 month ban).
• Server laggers, RCON password hackers/crackers etc. cannot be sold/given away on Sythe.org.
• Anyone selling carded gifts will be banned for fraud.

*Digit is the length of the Steam ID. The lower it is, the more unique it is. A 5 digit would for example be STEAM_0:1:23456. Also, all the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 digits and low 7 digits are made in 2003, which was the year Steam was made.

Well typically the user has to trade with you so you can see they own the item before any dealing happens. I don't think it's against to sell items outside of steam wallet so the seller should have no problem verifying the validity of the item.

I think most sell their skins for Paypal, then it wont end up in a trade to proof. It is just a small edit, and a proof take me around 20 sec to make and upload.
Also posting proof in a thread would get more attention that one without. Makes it better for the forum.

A text window over the screen wouldn't be good proof. I could easily throw my own text window over yours and call that my knife. A in game screenshot after you saying something in the server would be a bit more appropriate, but still not concrete.

What do you suggest then?

It is the same as gifts. I think CSGO items should be added now since its new and very popular. Steam Sales rules doesn't get updated that much, and it could do with a slight update once in a while.

 

There is a new CS:GO section now. There is a sticky, any ammendments anyone can see needing done?
