ALL ACCOUNT SOLD/BOUGHT ON SYTHE MUST BE "LEGIT"

You're an account seller, are you saying that you sell hacked accounts?

    Bump.

You might want to give your opinion on what can be done. Getlegit is right, and don't bag him saying it's alright to sell hacked accounts.

Nothing will happen, nothing really can tbh.

EDIT - Why don't you just be cautious of who you buy them from, simple...

Sythe.org staff should not have to "confirm" the legitimacy of steam accounts, because that's pretty impossible (even with runescape account). The thing that needs to be done is disclaimers become infractable and treated as an attempt to scam after a couple of warnings.

A lot of it is knowing who to trade with, but I agree, there should be more strict rules on what is considered legitimate business practices with steam accounts.

A lot can be done by the buyer, though. Make sure to ask the right questions. Try and get proof of purchase, if there is no physical copy registered to the account, get one.

I think the issue isn't as much the account sellers rules that are the problem, but more the fact that a lot of steam accounts that are being sold aren't "desirable" as far as maintaining the longevity of the account is concerned. There are things you can look for to try and determine whether an account has simply been phished or if it is a legitimate account.

That all being said, I bought a 4 digit steam account from xel, he advised me to purchase a physical copy of a game for it, recommended I get a game on amazon (cheaper/free shipping/ect.), and directed me to the disable prevention tool. Following these steps I have yet to lose access to my account. I have had many attempts to phish my account, but those are easily avoided with any bit of common sense.

Reforms are due, but I think we need to take a closer examination at the accounts that are being considered suitable for sale more so than the rules set out to protect the seller from foul play.

Personaly i find 90% of all the steam accounts being sold all phished. First of all , i understand 1 person with tons of steam games on it ( Screw the digits , they mean nothing , they do not give extra bonuses on Steam ) , but shitloads of accounts with shitloads of games on it? No its not their accounts. Why would someone be stupid enough to sell a steam account with lets say 500$ worth of games on it for 35$? PHISHED ACCOUNT ALERT.

I personaly have a steam account with 107 games on it all legitly bought in the last 2 years , no way i would even consider selling it for less than 500$ ( thats 50% the price that i payed for all the games + all the achievment effort etc. )

So my advice is only Original Emails are Proof of Purchase steam accounts to be sold ONLY.

Is this thread gonna die out just like this? Without a mod response at all?

You can't really tell though. People can easily scam by doing something to get the account disabled before they sell it and not replacing it.
