Stay tank?

Should I stay a tank or go to main?
So many pros and cons, just not surre atm.

Prayer is for Rigour.

 

Please provide some information.

 

well tanks can do everything a main can minus melee and they dominate with pking. if it has good stats stay tank

Stay tank. It's unique, and is better than mains in PvP. PvE... not so much, but that's what alt Mains are for.

Yeah, I know, just takes forever to train IMO.

 

Nice account so far I suggest keep 1 attack 1 strength at all costs. Even if it means sacrificing some items/quest rewards. Rigour is a great idea and with 1-1-99defense 99 range you will be facing turmoil rune pures (the current dominant pker) you will be at the advantage because their gains in att-str will be far lesser than your gains in range-def.

 

99 ranged, def, mage, hp, 74 prayer, rigour, ccbow, c staff, stream and you're good to go .

 

If you already have 99 defense/ranged, the attack and strength won't gain you any levels (as long as they don't combine to reach over 150.)

Also, for those who are going to make the hitpoints argument (I know somebody would have), Getting 75 att/str or 70/80, whatever you choose, will not get you very much HP experience. Honestly, probably not even enough for one combat level.

 

True, I'm just going for 80 def 99 ranged atm.
Before that I'm getting a few other skilling stats up though.

 

Personally, I'd stay a tank (Because I'm doing the same thing myself!)

I'm going to use it as my "main," not worrying about Pvp on the account, but still has most of the benefits of a main at a substantially lower combat level, and it takes A LOT less time to train. I've botted mine on longrange for a couple days now, just hit 50/50 (def and range) and will be botting dung soon for a bonecrusher to use on mass cow or chicken botting for prayer.

May just have to do that though..

--Maybe I'll just buy my way to 74 prayer though.
