Revolution and special attacks beta

Still sucks. Until they release actual pre-eoc with no abilities or duel wielding I'm sticking to 07. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Legacy which they are releasing in the summer apparently had a beta released for it recently. Legacy was advertised as a mix of Eoc and pre Eoc with special attacks ect. But they only thing they did was add special attacks and reduce my combat level back down to pre eoc. Hp is still entirely ruined along with the damage and the worst part is probably the fact it's still just button mash fest and oldschool hybridding is impossible.

 

When I first tried the beta when it was first released, it just turned into a bunch of people at ge selling all their stuff at ridiculous prices. Fun, but pointless. I agree about the dual wielding and abilities though. Its just button mashing, takes no skill/knowledge

 

Agree with you, the old pre eoc interface just seems a lot more easier to use and play on, the new stuff is just bullshit.

 

Its horrible. But after jagex's history of hyping updates and them being shit i wasn't surprised one bit how bad legacy is on beta. Im guessing the real update wont be much different.

 

Huh? I thought the combat beta out right now was to test revolution and special attacks. That isn't a legacy beta. Legacy beta won't be released for months

 

Legacy beta does not exist. You tried the regular combat beta. Legacy beta sholuld be released in May.

Updated title. Still sucks and I'm assuming if it's not pre eoc legacy it's probably going to be pretty bad.

 

At the very least the Legacy beta will bring back the old interface. Can't stand the cluttered NIS. I know it's got customization..but not on my ancient PC.

 

Dual Wielding is the thing that makes me not want to play Legacy. It would be nice if legacy brought players back to staking though.

 

When EoC was first released, Jagex refused to have the old combat system alongside the new one - and for good reason. There isn't a good way to have both the pre-eoc combat system and eoc on the same server. It just isn't practical, and there's no way to balance it.

 

I'm with you Entrr, I'll be sticking with 07 for combat until I see the actual old combat system returning, not alongside eoc since it'll be impossible to balance the two and they'll most likely favor eoc over preeoc combat.

 

Same thought you Entrr, they should release pre-eoc soon.

I like the 07 graphics, also. Don't really want to go into RS3, it will still be the same regardless of the update I think.

 

Yeah I'm an old schooler for life. The game I have always loved. No sense in wasting time with a button masher RS. That's what a console is for. Or just play WoW? A better version.

 

Revolution eliminates the button mashing and makes PVM situations such as Slayer very fun again.

 

It's still in development, so I'm sure there will be changes made for the better. It seems like a poorly executed plot to get more people to play rs3. The economy is shit, the tier system is shit, the difficulty level is on 0 and the game is one huge clusterfuck. I'll be damned if I ever log onto rs3 again.
