[STAFF POWER ABUSE] This is embarrassing, multiple staff abusing this rule for there own benefit.

Yea, this is like a goldsite having its own 3 threads, i really don't understand why it's allowed.

edit: and if this is allowed, why do you need to ask staff for approval because shouldn't it be allowed for everyone? Can sites like Ariba who have 10+ workers go and make 10+ threads?

 

This will just cause conflict of interest if it were allowed as a whole, never mind having a monopoly on the site.

Staff being approved by a higher rank of staff seems fair, but I'm not sure on what the criteria is, they'll just get auto-approved because they're all staff won't they?

Either apply the rule to all users (including staff) or scrap it entirely, though this would cause more problems in the long run.

Yea id have to agree with @A Broken Man the abuse is real and the slickness of the whole ordeal is not cute in anyway.

 

I already spoke to Charlotte, there is no rule against using someone elses PA to sell your own gold.

The gold is mine; the funds are mine; the Playerauctions account is Chicks. Any gold I sell through that playerauctions belongs to me & the funds that are made are mine. Show me a rule where I cannot use someone elses Playerauctions account?

I sell MY gold to Veng/Vlad/Chicks for the same price I bought it so I don't get banned. Again; find me a rule against this? There are people on Sythe who sell for lower than what they bought so saying I can't sell for the same price is ridiculous.

At the end of the day, myself personally, I'm not doing anything wrong.

I come online, I buy my own personal gold from my own personal sellers with MY funds while using Chicks Playerauctions for those juice premium rates, when I go to bed I see who is online and sell my gold for the same rate I bought it. Or; I'll let someone else sell my gold for me (again, my gold and my funds, no one gets commission for selling my gold, it's 100% mine.)

Also; of course Veng is going to recommend me if he's out of stock. Myself and Veng are close friends and we trust each other enough to recommend our sellers/buyers to each other when we're out of stock. We use our own funds and our own golds. Nothing in the rules against recommending a friend to another seller.

Everything that I do is well under the guidance of the rules, and unless there is a rule for not using someone elses Playerauctions account or working in harmony with other people so you don't get banned, then I'm more than willing to change the way I work.

If you know how PA works it’s extremely difficult to start fresh. A global mod is defending herself do you want her to just sit there and let people post against her and do nothing?

Put aside the the issue of people who work for a gold shop having their own shop for a second.

Starting fresh on PA is difficult for a reason, as it is on any website including here. You wouldn't allow me to jump on a friends Sythe account because he has vouches and appears reputable in order to get my sales would you? Taking that into account I can't see the logic in thinking that you should be allowed to do this with PA.

The fact that you have done this shows that your motivation to achieve your goals overrules any morals with regards to honesty and integrity that you may have which is shameful at best.

I've gone out of my way to contact PA with regards to the situation of account sharing abuse (yes abuse) for "juicy premium rates" to see their stance on the subject, and if they are somehow okay with it then I'll admit that I have no leg to stand on.

I would be interested to hear how you handle the separation of funds being withdrawn from PA, however at this point i'm practically beating a wounded animal.

 

This rule is just dumb, they only got "caught" because they were open about it. Do it secretly and you will be able to abuse it forever, i've known a few websites that used a same livechat which were advertised by several high reputation users and no one knew what was going on for like a year. I'm just saying there is no way to monitor it if someone actually tries to hide it

 

So the tldr is @A Broken Man you're mad that chloe uses someone elses PA account, right. If this is all, are you aware it's perfectly normal and somewhat common for various traders to share each others payment methods/mules when they (temp) lack there own? How is this any different?

 

@Panda That being the case in a temporary scenario because of an uncommon occurrence (whatever that may be) has no relevancy to someone permanently using someones elses alias for their own personal gain.

Unless I am mistaken, this is not temporary. It is for "premium rates", as stated by Chloe, and the reputable alias of someone who is not yourself. This is all for personal gain and not due to some mishap or unfortunate event rendering them without their own methods. Do you acknowledge that this isn't exactly an ethical practice?

If this was occurring on Sythe with people using the accounts of other for the EXACT same purpose it wouldn't be tolerated in the slightest. I don't quite see how this should be treated differently.

When I've sold gold, I've gotten paid with the same accounts from different stores so many times.

Account sharing is very common.

 

Account sharing isn't against the rules on Playerauctions as I've worked with Divicasales also on their PA account.
What I do on Playerauctions is none of Sythe.orgs' business.

Let me give you an example.
Blackhat is allowed on Sythe (offsite wise) we cannot advertise that we're selling phising links/rats, however if they were to move to hackforums they can sell as many phising links/rats as they want as long as Sythe.org isn't involved.

You're sitting here fighting against people who are selling on a different website, Sythe.org doesn't control Playerauctions, the same way Osbot allows users who are banned on Sythe on their website, why? Because Sythe and Osbot are different identities. It's redundant what I do on Playerauctions opposed to what I do on Sythe.org

TL;DR You're not allowed to share accounts on Sythe.org which I am not doing.
You are allowed to share accounts on Playerauctions which I am doing.

No where does it say YOU CANNOT share accounts, they encourage you to create your own, however it's not a solid rule.

As for defending myself, of course I'm going to defend myself against someone who is taking my words out of context.
I have no more to say about this thread as a whole; my threads are bumped when I have funds/or I need funds for my PERSONAL gain. When I use Playerauctions there is no rule on Sythe nor Playerauctions saying I can't.
I am completely happy to change my way of operation if an Admin+ chooses to change the rules.
