Staff posting in Spam Forum

I agree, but Richard can do as he wishes since he owns the site.

Everything else as far as FireZ goes, he's an admin and I respect him.

 

Neither you nor the rest of the users are the ones who dictate what the "appropriate area" is. As others have said previously, this is HIS SITE. If he so decides that the spam forum is where he wants to make the post, then the spam forum IS THE APPROPRIATE AREA.

 

yeah i understand Richard can do what he wants and i respect all the staff.

It just seems silly to post in the spam forum when they want respectful and decent responses.

Save the hassel, save the drama, save the disputes, save the waisted time, and post in a better spot.

 

If you actually read the trolling rule in the SF you'd know to behave anyways.

Just because it's been a looser rule in the past doesn't mean when they tighten it up it shouldn't be enforced. Get used to it or don't use the SF.

According to this most people in the spam forum WILL be banned.

 

I've seen this happen only once, but I do agree with the point you are making, some of the staff members posting in the spam forum, and it's only common for the average user that's active in the forum to troll the post

Trolling a moderator should be a banable offense; however, it should be limited on how it can be banned in the spam forum due to the nature of spam forums average posts

 

He really shouldnt be flamed/trolled no matter where he goes, he owns the site, respect him and his decisions.

You're right. Last time i checked, god couldn't ban me from this forum.

 

Staff members shouldn't take highly of what other users think of them or post about them, how can they handle criticism on their actions then? Sure it's a troll now and the staff member got somewhat upset about, but what if it's not a troll and actually a negative comment towards an action, general behavior, etc.

That staff member cannot learn from his mistakes, create room for improvement

trolling is different from grieving

Trolling is more making someone feel stupid or fooled

Grieving is irritating or harassing someone


Grieving is more this case rather than trolling

 

im against anyone handing out infractions or judging a member because of some stupid shit they post on there, it's a place to post what you want and half the time it's stupid shit

That being said, although I don't agree with Sythe banning certain people I can't do anything about it, it's his site like others said and that's really the main point.. but as far as staff taking things personal, learn to take a joke. That goes for any other member aswell

 

I have no problem with this trolling (which was fun to watch), but wasting Sythe's time with "account recovery" after posting what he told you not to should get you permabanned.

 

These rules are pretty silly if you ask me. Sure it's big rich's site, but we should still be able to voice our opinions on this. He was worried about looking bad... well rich you manage to do that yourself really well.
I might get banned for this post, but so what? I'll post my opinions on your behavior in running this website here or to potential onlookers.

I like this website and its community, but I don't have to like how I'm treated by the people who run it. You are not better than me, and if you want to ban me, so be it.
If you can't handle any sort of criticism or confrontation you might be better off just deleting the website.

My 2 cents.

 

Whilst I agree that free speech shouldn't be penalized, I do think there's boundaries which some people have clearly overstepped. There's a difference between giving feedback and being a dick for the sake of it.

That said, I do disagree with some of the bans Richard handed out. Unfortunately though, disagree is all I can do as I'm not in any position to undermine him.
