Staff Getting Their MSN's Hacked

Yep. To me it sounds like it'll take lots of effort.
You should always ask for a PM before trade.

 

You're 100% right and this is unfair. Why can I staff get away with scamming? Hell, who knows if he was hacked or just claiming to be hacked?

I agree with this quote I even asked a Mod back when I was hacked. Funny thing is he said he would take the ban til he paid back so this is bs if he isn't forced to.

 

This is exactly right, And as someone else mentioned how do we know that it is "hacked" Alot of mods seem to get hacked :S

 

What if there was a rank or like a word where they have "forum addict" or those random titles like "#1 pin seller" that said their msn was compromised? it could be taken off when they get it fixed but that'd be an easy solution, instead of msgin 100000's of ppl you change 1 persons title and then no matter what someone will know.

EDIT: I agree! no one is above the rules, if you take the responsibility of being trusted it is YOUR responsibility to ensure the safety of your msn and all trades.

 

this thread is far beyond that. It is now about why if a regular member gets his msn hacked, he has have to pay for whatever scamming was done with his msn, yet a mod/staff doesn't.

edit: I kinda like that idea, I usually match the msns up with the ones on their profile, never asking for a pm.

 

Which shouldn't even be a question, they should pay it back. But I really think the rank should be implemented for people with currently hacked/under attack msns

 

A rank isn't any better than an Announcement thread. If you've talked to the person many times on MSN, you already trust them enough to not need a PM.

 

and if you haven't talked to them? If someone adds me wanting to buy something, I ask "Link to profile" then I look and see if the msns match, thats it.


And why haven't any staff or mods responded to this ordeal? One usually responds to every suggestion at this point.

 

its true alot of sythe mods are claiming to of been hacked and they seem to be let off the hook for their msn scamming people. with a ban that they can get up lifted.

i dont think i would request a pm with the staff i already have added as ive used em in the past so that sort of woldnt make sense.

but also a 24-48 hour time limit should start as soon as they report their msn being hacked, any scams that occur in this time limit they should have to repay this should give the public plenty of time to find out that the person has been hacked.

also mabey a message could be added to all OMM,mods,and admins signature as soon as its reported as well as the stickies makes for better advertising

 

I think a rank next to their name is good enough since I bet most people (I do atleast) go to view their profile and thats it.

 

If I were going to bother viewing their profile I'd also as for a PM. The only time I wouldn't ask for a PM is when I've traded with them multiple times in the past.

 

Mods are trusted and I believe many people dont ask for a PM. Mods should be responsible for scams on their MSN. Also, I think theyre discussing this in The staff lounge.
